19th Century Belgian Octagonal Single Shot Break Barrel .22 Pistol. D 1493. **EARLY 2005 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATE** - D 1493 A Belgian single shot 7” break barrel (has been plugged, rendering the firearm decommissioned) rimfire pistol, with octagonal barrel stamped ‘modele depose’ (Registered Design in French) with numerous inspection marks and checkered walnut grips (stamped ‘170’ to the underside). Single shot pistols .22 calibre colloquially known as a 'suicide special' because they were small, cheap and therefore fairly common in the days before gun ownership was strictly regulated. As a result, by virtue of being available, they were often used in suicides undated. The weapon cocks and dry fires as it should. The price includes UK delivery and deactivation certificate. D 1493. WW2 1940 British WD Enfield MK 1* .380 Calibre Spurless Tankers Service Revolver **EARLY UK 1996 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 17399 - 17399 This is an original WW2 dated .380 calibre, Tanker's Service revolver. These 5” barrel pistols were used by soldiers in tanks & armoured fighting vehicles, spurless to minimise the chance of cocking the weapon accidently when climbing in and out of tight spaces. It is date marked, '40' (1940) with WD arrow on top of the barrel and also stamped ‘CAL .38’. The frame is marked with Enfield’s combined ‘ED’ mark and ‘1*’ designation. The pistol is serial number S8704 which is stamped on the frame and barrel block. The bakelite grips have ribbed panels. The underside of one grip has an old stable, secure chip. The pistol is fitted with Military lanyard ring. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1996 the pistol has cut and ringed cylinders & blocked barrel. **DEACTIVATED**Transit Cased WW2 1942 Nazi German Luftwaffe MG81 Aircraft 7.92x57mm Mauser Machine Gun Spare Barrel With Luftwaffe Inspection Marks And Nazi Manufacturer Code ‘twh’. D 1486 - D 1486 The MG 81 is a German belt fed 7.92×57mm Mauser machine gun which was used in flexible installations in World War II Luftwaffe aircraft, in which capacity it replaced the older drum magazine-fed MG 15. The MG 81 was developed by Mauser as a derivative of their successful MG 34 general-purpose machine gun. Development focus was to reduce production cost and time and to optimize the machine gun for use in aircraft. Developed in 1938/1939, it was in production from 1940 to 1945. A special twin-mount MG 81Z (the Z suffix stands for Zwilling, meaning "twin") was introduced in 1942. It paired up two of the weapons on one mount to provide even more firepower. The MG 81 was used in several types of Luftwaffe bombing and recce aircraft like the Ju-87D, Ju-88, He-177, Ju-188 (an image of an MG41 is illustrated in image 1, in the image below the MG81 a double barrel MG81Z can be seen. The guns in the image are for illustration purposes only and are not included). This is an original deactivated German MG81 spare single barrel in its transit case with the webbing carrying strap. The barrel is deactivated by condition (breech slotted and barrel blocked). The barrel is stamped with Luftwaffe Eagle inspection stamp, calibre detail number 34775, U above 210 and twh manufacturer code (unknown) alongside ‘42’ 1942 date (illustrated in the images). The barrel’s transit case is of pressed steel construction with a hinged lid and clasp fastener. The container retains much of its original green paint finish. WW2 1942 Australian WD 'CSR' The Colonial Sugar Refinery, Sydney NSW MK III* Brass Signal Flare Pistol. D 1479 - D 1479 An excellent Australian WD WW2 1942 MK III* Brass Signal Flare Pistol manufactured by The Cane Sugar Refinery, Sydney. The pistol has a flared brass end piece and is fitted with undamaged grips with chequered panels. It has crisp manufacturer's 'CSR' Sydney cartouche (Colonial Sugar Refinery Company Sydney New South Wales, see page 56 of The Broad Arrow by Skennerton) together with War Department stamps. '42' (1942) date and 'III*' model detail on the left side of its frame. It also has serial number 9952 & inspection mark on it's right side (all illustrated). The pistol is complete with military lanyard ring. Deactivated to UK specification in 2019 the pistol breaks open as it should & it cocks and dry fires. **SCARCE**MINT**British WD L59A1 (No.4 ) Drill / Instructional Rifle Converted From WW2 1943 No.4 Rifle With Original Webbing Sling**UK 2001 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 22259 - 22259 After WW2 Drill Purpose Only rifles were made from de-commissioned parts of WW2 No 4 .303 calibre rifles and issued to Army, Navy & Air Force recruits and cadets for training. The weapons were issued a new model number L59A1 (see page 431 of the Lee Enfield Story by Skennerton). This is a deactivated near mint example of the L59A1 drill rifle. Most of the L59A1 rifles that have been available to collectors have been in very poor condition due to their drill use however this rifle is exceptional, the metal and wood both being excellent. It is crisply marked with the model designation ‘Drill Rifle L59A1’ at the breech (illustrated) and number 19941. The grip strap has some original No 4 rifle markings consisting of WD arrow mark,1943 date & matching number ‘BE19941’. The gun has original white paint bands with black stencilled ‘DP’ (Drill Purpose) armoury marking and red highlighted inspection port for demonstration purposes. The rifle has the correct winged foresight and flip up rear sight which incorporates a peep sight. The rifle has a bayonet lug and sling swivels fitted with original webbing sling. The L59A1 makes an excellent demonstration rifle. Deactivated to UK specification in 2001 the rifle cocks and dry fires and the magazine can be removed. Post 1975 Italian Investarm 20 Bore 3” Magnum, Double Barrel Over & Under Shotgun Wall Hanger**UK 1995 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 10488 - 10488 Founded in 1975 by the three Italian Salvinelli brothers, Investarm can boast years of experience in the manufacture of hunting guns. This a double barrel Magnum shotgun by Investarm. It has undamaged wood furniture with finely stippled wrist and fore stock panels & rubber recoil pad. The shotgun has double 25” blued steel barrels set over & under with centre rib and double triggers. It measures 42” overall. It’s plain ribbed ‘hard chrome’ action is marked ‘Investarm’ together with trademark and Magnum. The gun has a brass bead fore sight. The top barrel rib has a small insert / hole indicating that at some point in its life this gun was set up for ‘Laser’ clay pigeon shooting. The barrel is marked ’20 Gauge 3” Magnum’ and ‘Hard Chrome Made In Italy’. The gun is serial number 414924. Deactivated to UK specification in 1995 the gun’s triggers and top lever move but it does not break open.
