German, WW2, MG42 & MG34 Leather Shoulder Sling. MISC 2008 - MISC 2008 This is an original WW2 era leather sling with the correct steel mountings for the MG42 and MG34 machine guns widely used by the German army throughout WW2. The sling is made of heavy leather with reinforcement pads for the shoulder. The sling has a swivelling spring loaded hook on one end and the correct spring loaded clasp at her other. The sling in supple in a nice used condition with no rips and intact stitching. Both the metal attachments work correctly as they should. The price includes U.K. delivery. WW1 Era Smith & Wesson USA 1914 Patent Military & Police 6” Barrel Variant .38 S&W Calibre Revolver**COCKS & DRY FIRES**UK 2001 DEACTIVATION**Sn 23406 - 23406 This is an excellent original WW1 era .38 Calibre Smith & Wesson Military & Police 1914 patent revolver. It has a 6" barrel & open combat sights. The pistol has undamaged wood grips with chequered panels & inlaid S&W roundels. The butt has military / police lanyard ring. The pistol is stamped along the barrel with the Smith & Wesson, manufacturer's name and 1914 patent detail. The right side of the frame has the 'S&W’ Trade mark logo and ‘Made In USA’. The butt of the grip frame is numbered 707886. The frame and cylinder hinge have un-matching numbers. The front of the cylinders have at some point in their lives been fitted with (fixed in place) inert copper jacketed bullet heads depicting loaded chambers. Deactivated to UK specification in 2001 the pistol has a pinned barrel, cut & ringed cylinders & it cocks and dry fires crisply in both single & double action. The price includes UK delivery. WW2, US Green Heavy Duck Canvas Carry/Transport Case for the Thompson M1928 and M1A1 Submachine Gun. MISC 1016 - MISC 1016 This is a WW2 US Green heavy duck Canvas Carry/Transport Case for the Thompson M1928 and M1A1 Submachine Gun. The case was usually used for storage in armoured vehicles. The case fits the standard 10.5 inch Thompson barrel and standard foregrip. The case is constructed from thick olive green canvas with a light green cloth reinforced bound edge. The case is closed by a non metallic zip with an alloy closure zipper complete with its original leather closure pull cord and attachment ring. One side of the canvas is ink stamped COVER THOMPSON SUB-MACHINE GUN CAL .45 050268". Each side has two leather tabs with a snap buckle for quick attachment/detachment to hold it in a vehicle. Inside the bag are 4 reinforced sewn in leather tabs to put the case on a vehicle mount. The case bears little signs of use and the zip is stiff. WW2 Era U.S Army Thompson 1928 A1 Auto Ordnance Corp .45 ACP Calibre Sub Machine Gun With U.S Army ‘Co’ 30 Round Stick Magazine, Sling & 4 Inert Deactivated Rounds Of Ammunition**MOVING PARTS**UK/EU 2024 DEACTIVATION**Sn 23330 - 23330 This is an original WW2 era, U.S Army Thompson M1 SMG (see page 312 of ‘The Ultimate Thompson Book’ By Hill). It is an excellent example and its original wood stock, pistol grip and fore stock are all undamaged as is its metal work. The weapon is crisply stamped 'Auto -Ordnance Corporation, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A.’ and 'U.S Model of 1928 A1’. The weapon is serial number 538845 which is on the frame. The top of the frame is stamped with the Thompson trademark. The metal also has Thompson USA patents and ‘Thompson Sub Machine Gun Calibre .45 Automatic Cartridge’. The Thompson has blade fore sight, Thompson muzzle flash suppressor and Lyman peep sight. It is complete with an original U.S Army ‘Co’ stick magazine. The weapon’s sling swivels are fitted with an original webbing sling. The stock has a steel butt plate with trap. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2024 the weapon’s trigger moves, the slide moves backwards and forwards under spring tension and the magazine can be removed. Included are 4 Inert Deactivated Rounds Of .45 ACP brass cased Ammunition. The rounds load into the magazine correctly. WW2 1944 Hispano HS 804 20mm Cannon Recovered from De Havilland Mosquito HX862 on Drum near Conwy, Wales. D 5994 - D 5994 The British 20mm Hispano-Suiza (20x110) HS 404 aircraft cannon which first entered service experimentally in the Battle of Britain in 1940 arming several Supermarine Spitfires and also in the Bristol Beaufighter which carried 4 of the guns internally. The gun however with its original 60 round drum feed although very effective in combat was mechanically unreliable. The gun was later modified to a belt feed which was reliable and served in many aircraft throughout WW2 including the Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, Westland Whirlwind, Bristol Beaufighter, Hawker Typhoon and Tempest as standard equipment or an upgrade of the Browning .303 machine gun as an effective hard hitting gun. This is a sectioned 20mm Hispano HS804 Mark 5 aircraft cannon that was recovered in 1970 from the hills at Drum near Conwy in North Wales from a De Havilland Mosquito mark VI Fighter Bomber HX842. The aircraft originally carried 4 of these cannons and was belt fed with its ammunition. The aircraft was with Number 60 OUT (Operational Training Unit) RAF as a night fighter aircraft on a night intruder exercise from RAF High Ercall in Shropshire as part of their night fighting course. Their briefed route took them towards Prestatyn at 3000 feet and then north west across the Irish Sea at 500 feet. This first leg pf the journey was at 3000 feet to clear the hills near Conwy before descending to the Irish Sea. The aircraft for some reason was flying at about 2300 feet and collided with the summit of the Carneddau mountains at Drem near Conwy at that height. The aircraft was completely destroyed and later that morning the wreckage was found and the pilot and navigators bodies were recovered. This cannon was recovered in 1970 from the crash site and has subsequently been deactivated for display. The cannon has had sections taken out of it to show the inner workings, the sectioned parts being painted in red. The cannon measures 68 inches long is mounted on a wooden display board complete with an inert 20mm HS804 round for display. WW1 / WW2 Era British BSA Co. Contract Lee Enfield Short Magazine SMLE No.1 MK III .303 Calibre Rifle & Sling With WW1 1918 Dated WD Wilkinson 1907 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard**UK DEACTIVATION COCKS & DRY FIRES** D 6055 - D 6055 BSA contract rifles were made for supply to The commonwealth & other Foreign Governments and were not stamped with the usual date markings. This contract SMLE has excellent all original woodwork throughout. The stock is inlaid with a brass disc stamped with numbers (illustrated). The grip strap is crisply stamped BSA Co and is correctly without other date and manufacturer marks. It is serial number ‘58998’ which is stamped on the action and under the rear sight (there are no numbers on the bolt or fore end). The rifle is complete with stripper clip loading bridge, magazine cut off (fixed in place during deactivation), winged fore sight and adjustable rear sight with wing protectors. It also has a brass butt plate with trap and webbing sling. Deactivated to UK specification with a 2026 deactivation certificate, the rifle cocks & dry fires and the magazine can be removed. The rifle comes with an original Pattern 1907 bayonet complete with scabbard. The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer 'Wilkinson' and King’s Crown ‘GR’ (George Rex) together with ‘8 ‘18 (August 1918 date). The reverse has WD inspection marks. The blade and its slab wood grips with impressed inspection marks are excellent and undamaged. It has its original steel mounted leather scabbard. All leather & stitching of the scabbard are intact.
