This is an original, WW2 era British Officer's MK IV .380 calibre 4" barrel, Service Revolver. The frame is stamped 'Mark IV .38’, has Webley’s winged bullet trade mark & the top of the cylinder frame is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham Made In England’. The pistol is serial number A81120. Its original finely chequered grips are in similar excellent condition with embossed Webley roundels. It is complete with lanyard ring. Deactivated to an early UK specification the original deactivation certificate has been lost at some point in its life and a replacement UK only deactivation certificate was issued in 2024. English Form 12 Bore Double Barrel Side By Side Hammerless Box Lock Breech Loading Top Lever Break Action Sporting Shotgun **Early UK 1991 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** D 6004 - D 6004
This double barrel hammerless sporting shotgun has 28” steel barrels. The barrels, set side by side have a central flat top barrel rib and bead foresight. It has its original walnut stock which has just the knocks, bumps and bruises to be expected with age and use and double triggers. The wrist & fore stock have chequered panels and the underside of the stock has an inlaid void white metal escutcheon. The action has foliate tooled decoration. The shotgun is number 68837. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1991 the weapon’s top lever break action opens the breech, it cocks and dry fires and its safety catch works correctly. Originally created in the 1730s in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA by skilful immigrant craftsmen from Germany and Switzerland, the Kentucky rifle was the weapon of choice for frontier plainsmen for over a century. The heritage of the Kentucky lives on today in the form of live firing modern American and European made examples such as our example by Armando Piscetta and his Loano company Armi Jager. It has an undamaged wood stock which has just light surface scuffs consistent with age and use & original blue finish to the metal work. It has a 27" sighted octagonal barrel and colour case hardened action and hammer. It has brass furniture including a hinged patch box in the shoulder stock. It also has a wood ram rod. Springfield muzzle loading percussion rifles were used by the United States Army and Marine Corps during the American Civil War. Commonly referred to as the "Springfield" (after its original place of production, Springfield, Massachusetts), they were the most widely used U.S. Army weapon during the Civil War, favoured for their range, accuracy, and reliability. The rifles were also used during the American Indian Wars. The Springfield lives on today in quality firearms produced by the Italian arms company 'Antonio Zoli & Co' This is an excellent Antonio Zoli & Co made US Army Springfield type percussion rifle. It has an undamaged wood stock and excellent blue finish to the metal work. It has a 26” sighted barrel. The weapon is fitted with sling swivels, colour case hardened action & hammer, brass furniture including a hinged patch box in the shoulder stock. The action plate is crisply marked with the American Eagle device found on Springfield rifles. The shotgun has double 26” steel barrels set side by side with centre rib, brass blade fore sight, double hammers and double triggers. The gun also has sling swivels. It measures 43” overall. There are no visible date or maker marks, but there are what appear to be Liege inspection marks on the action (illustrated). The shotgun has double 28” blued steel barrels set side by side with centre rib and double triggers. It measures 45 ½” overall. It has a colour case hardened action. This is an excellent example of an original, pre WW1 dated Luger, PO 8, 9mm Parabellum, Semi-automatic pistol. It has matching numbers 7272 including the magazine & the breech housing is dated 1912 with the Erfurt arsenal name and crown mark. The metal has Imperial inspection marks. The metal work and fine chequered wood grips are undamaged. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2022 the pistol’s barrel is slotted, the slide and trigger move and the magazine can be removed. The pistol is complete with its excellent brown leather holster with full hard case lid and single retaining strap with buckle fastener and magazine carrier on its right aspect. The rear of the holster has double belt loops. The leather is crisply impressed by the maker ‘Victor Buckholz Hannover’ and is dated '1915'. The inside of the holster has it's stripping tool carrier with flap and single stud fastener & it has its leather quick draw strap with leather toggle.
