This is an excellent WW1 1916 dated Short Magazine SMLE No.1 Mk III* .303 calibre rifle. The rifle has all original woodwork throughout and nice clear date & manufacturer's stamps, "GR" (George Rex) with Crown, Enfield 1916, SHT L.E III*. The stock has an inlaid void brass disc. It is complete with stripper clip loading bridge, winged fore sight and adjustable rear sight with wing protectors. It also has a brass butt plate with trap and original webbing sling. Deactivated to early UK / EU specification in 2016 the rifle cocks & dry fires and the magazine can be removed. The rifle is serial number U7767 which is stamped on the grip strap, muzzle cap & under the rear sight. The bolt has un-matching number. The rifle comes with an original Pattern 1907 bayonet complete with scabbard. The ricasso of the bayonet is stamped by the manufacturer 'Wilkinson Pall Mall' and King’s Crown together with ‘10 ’18 (October 1918 date). The reverse is stamped with WD inspection marks. The blade and its slab wood grips are undamaged. One grip has a small impressed ordnance inspection mark. It has its original steel mounted leather scabbard. Austrian Steyr 5.56mm NATO Calibre AUG A1 Bullpup Assault Rifle. **2020 UK/EU DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED**. - D 5982
The Steyr AUG A1 is an Austrian bullpup assault rifle chambered for the 5.56×45mm NATO intermediate cartridge, designed in the 1960s by Steyr-Daimler-Puch, and manufactured by Steyr Arms GmbH & Co KG. This is a first model AUG A! (Armee-Universal-Gewehr - army universal rifle) that was adopted in 1977 and is a selective-fire, bullpup assault rifle fitted with an integrated 1.5 x telescopic sight made by Swarovski Optik that is integrated with the receiver casting which has a basic V and post open sight cast into the top of the casting. The bullpup design is a very compact weapon with the breach being behind the trigger guard. This gun is fitted with the olive coloured fibreglass reinforced polymer stock and plastic 30 round magazine. The weapons rotating fore grip moves and locks as it should. The optical sight is clear and has a crosshair and a circle in the reticule. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2020 the weapon’s slide, trigger, and safety catch all move and the magazine can be removed. The rifle is complete with its 2 metal sling swivels. The Model 1885 Single Shot rifle was John M. Browning’s first design and patent, and it was first single shot to be built by Winchester. The patent for the Model 1885 rifle was what brought John M. Browning and the Winchester Repeating Arms Company together for beginning of their eventual 19-year association. The falling-block Model 1885 was built with one of the strongest actions known at that time. This Winchester Model 1885 rifle has all original metal and wood work. It has a 26” round steel barrel. The top of the barrel is crisply signed with Winchester manufacturer detail (illustrated). The barrel has calibre detail ‘.22WCF’. The action tang is numbered ‘91138’ which dates its manufacture to 1902. It has a steel butt plate. The weapon has a blade fore sight & adjustable ladder rear sight. This is an Inter war dated Mosin Nagant Rifle. These rifles were used by Russian troops during WW2. It has excellent undamaged metal work and all original wood furniture. The Breech housing is crisply stamped with Russian Script, Arsenal marks and 1926 date. The weapon has its original adjustable rear sight, block & blade fore sight, steel butt plate and is fitted with original webbing & leather sling. The sling has soviet ink markings (illustrated). The rifle’s breech is numbered 59985 and it has other un-matching numbers. The rifle is accompanied by an original Mosin Nagant socket bayonet which has a sprung socket catch. The bayonet has a 17” cruciform blade and correct chisel tip (19 ¾” overall length). The socket is stamped with number 1513. The bayonet fits the rifle correctly. The M1 Garand (officially designated as United States Rifle, Calibre .30, M1 and later simply Rifle, Calibre .30, M1, and also abbreviated as US Rifle, Cal .30, M1), was the first semi-automatic rifle to be generally issued to the infantry of any nation. Called "the greatest battle implement ever devised" by General George S. Patton, the Garand officially replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the standard service rifle of the United States Armed Forces in 1936. This is a very good example. Its metalwork is undamaged with original finish and its original woodwork is complete and undamaged. The rifle has a peep rear sight and winged fore sight. It is crisply stamped on the breech housing ' U.S. Rifle Cal .30 M1 Springfield Armory' and serial '5876764'. The breech under the slide is dated ‘50’ (1950) & 4-55’ (April 1955) re-issue after WW2 service for Korean war and beyond use. The weapon has other parts numbers. Savage Model 1899 Lever-Action Rifle. Sn 3928. - 3928
This is an excellent example of a Savage Model 1899 lever-action rifle in .22HP. Serial no. 317740 dates it to 1929. The rifle cocks and dry fires well. The Model 99 was a famously innovative and best-selling hammerless lever action rifle produced from 1899 until the early 1990s by the Savage Arms Company in Utica, New York. It is nicely stamped by the manufacturer. This is the weapon most famously used by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police the ' Mounties' amongst others. U.S. Remington, 1870's Swedish Contract Rolling Block 11mm Rifle & Bayonet. (deactivated for display) Sn 10923:20. - 10923:20
A U.S. Remington 1870's Swedish Registered 'Rolling Block' 11mm rifle and bayonet. The Remington Rolling Block rifle was a breech-loading rifle produced from the mid-1860s into the early 20th century by E. Remington and Sons (later Remington Arms Company). The action was extremely strong, and could easily withstand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders coming into use by the late 1880s. This type of rifle was used in the Franco/Prussian War, Egyptian War 1882 and The Sudanese War 1884-85. This is an excellent original Remington Model 1870 rolling block rifle has a 11mm Bore. It has a 35" barrel (50" overall) and has an external hammer and ladder rear sight. The woodwork and metal work are both undamaged and have a nice patina throughout. The woodwork has only the minor bumps and bruises from normal use which is to be expected of a weapon of this age. It is complete with two sling swivels, bayonet lug and cleaning/ram rod. The cleaning/ram rod has a tulip shaped end typical of the US Civil War. The trigger guard is the No 1 Type. It also has spring type barrel holders which were fitted to the No 1 Rifle. The bayonet lug is of the Argentinian Type. It has three barrel bands. The right plate is stamped with model detail 'DA' and the left with 'DA'. The left side of the stock is stamped with an Egyptian motif. It's loading and firing action works correctly. The bayonet is a French Yataghan for the 1866 Chassepot Rifle and Remington Rolling Block Rifle. It fits perfectly on the rifle. This is a nice example of the French model 1866 Chassepot bayonet with Yataghan form blade (See pages 84 and 92 plate 195 of The Bayonet Book by Watts & White). The steel single edged blade with fuller is undamaged with just very light staining consistent with age. The blade is 22 ½ " long (27 ¼ ") overall. The back edge of the blade is engraved by manufacturing armoury and dated 1871. It has the correct steel cross guard with muzzle ring and ribbed brass grip with flat spring and steel push button. It is complete with the correct scabbard made of sheet steel. The scabbard has no dents and has its original strap bar. The price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 10923:20.

The Repeating Rifle Model M1895, better known as the Mannlicher M1895 rifle is a bolt-action rifle, designed by Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher. The M1895 is unusual in employing a straight-pull bolt action, as opposed to the more common rotating bolt-handle of other rifles. It was consequently renowned for combining a high rate of fire (around 30–35 rounds per minute) with reliability and sturdiness. This is an original M95 Steyr straight pull bolt carbine. These weapons were used throughout WW1 and into the 1930’s. When the Nazi's came to power many M1895 rifles and carbines were given to Bulgarian Units. The wood furniture of this weapon is in excellent condition as is the metal work which has a nice patina & original blue finish throughout. The breech is stamped ‘Steyr M.95’. The carbine is serial number 2561S and has other un-matching numbers. It has bayonet lug, sling swivels set for across the chest carry by mounted infantry troops, steel butt plate, block and blade fore sight and ladder rear sight. Originally deactivated to an early UK specification in 1995, the original deactivation certificate was lost at some point in its life and in 2023 a replacement UK certificate was issued, not requiring any further deactivation work on the carbine. The Civil Guard (Spanish: Guardia Civil) is the oldest law enforcement agency in Spain and is one of two national police forces. As a national gendarmerie force, it is military in nature and is responsible for civil policing under the authority of both the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence. During the Spanish Civil War, 1936-39 the Guardia Civil forces split almost evenly between those who remained loyal to the Republic. Their contribution to the war efforts on both sides were invaluable & proved effective in urban combat. The symbol of the Guardia Civil consists of the Royal Crown of Spain, a sword and a fasces (bundle of rods and axe). This German Mauser is a Spanish military contract weapon issued to the Civil Guard (Guardia Civil ). The woodwork and metal work are in nice undamaged condition. The barrel shank has the emblem of the Civil Guard The barrel is numbered W1938 and has calibre detail (illustrated). It is complete bayonet lug, adjustable rear sight, fixed fore sight, steel butt plate and sling swivels. It has a 23 ½” barrel and is 43 ½” overall length. The rifle is accompanied by its WW2 era Spanish M1941 Bolo Blade Bayonet & Scabbard. The bayonet has a distinctive 9 ½” long Bolo shaped blade and is stamped on the ricasso with Crown Mark (most likely Toledo arsenal). On the reverse it is stamped with number "1523 L". The bayonet has undamaged original wood chequered grips secured with two screw bolts (see 'An Illustrated History Of Bayonets' By Martin Brayley, Page 199). Its original steel scabbard has a frog locket and the throat is numbered 5370 P. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1993 the rifle cocks and dry fires. The Boer Republics of the Orange Free State (OVS or Oranje Vrij Staat) and the South African Republic (ZAR or Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek) had been at odds with the British Empire for decades. Events led to open hostilities and Knowing War with the British Empire was imminent, the Boers rushed to purchase firearms to arm their citizen-soldier Kommandos and shipments of German Mauser Rifles were purchased by the ZAR and OVS States. This Mauser Model 1896 Mounted Infantry Carbine is one of the weapons purchased by the Boers. The woodwork and metal work are in nice undamaged condition. The breech housing is stamped 'MOD MAUSER 1896 LUDW. LOEWE & CO BERLIN' together with number '1777' which is repeated on the magazine plate. The breech has Imperial German inspection mark. It is complete with original bayonet lug, folding ladder sight, fixed fore sight, steel butt plate, sling swivels set for mounted infantry, across the chest carry & additional saddle ring.
