*Un-issued* Maker Marked Imperial Germany The Honour Cross of the World War 1914-1918 without Swords with Riband. N 138. - N 138
The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/1918) was established by Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, President of the German Weimar Republic, by an order dated 13 July 1934, to commemorate service of the German people during the First World War. This was Germany's first official service medal for soldiers of Imperial Germany who had taken part in the war, and where they had since died it was also awarded to their surviving next-of-kin. Shortly after its issuance, the government of Nazi Germany declared the award as the only official service decoration of the First World War and further forbade the continued wearing of German Free Corps awards on any military or paramilitary uniform of a state or Nazi Party organisation. Marked G&S (J.Godet & Sohn, Berlin) to the rear and in very good un-issued condition. The price includes UK delivery. N 138.

WWII German Social Welfare Medal and Ribbon with German Red Cross Personal ID Card for a Johann Biller Dated 1939. N 184. - N 184
The Social Welfare Decoration (German: Ehrenzeichen für deutsche Volkspflege) was a German Civil Award created by Adolf Hitler on 1 May 1939 for services in the social sector. The decoration was issued in three classes and was awarded for a wide variety of service, in the social sector, to the German state. Qualifying service would have been with Winterhilfswerk, National Socialist People's Welfare, medical and rescue work, or care of foreign and ethnic Germans. As a replacement for the German Red Cross Decoration, it was conferred in four classes consisting of a white-enamelled gold Balkenkreuz with Reich eagle and swastika. A "Medal of Social Welfare" was also issued for lesser degrees of service, not warranting the higher presentation of a class award. The main requirement for the award was that the service rendered should be to the benefit of the civil population. Reinhard Heydrich was awarded the decoration for his running of the Gestapo in the 1930s and for providing "security" to the German people. The infamous Doctor Josef Mengele was also awarded the decoration in 1941, for providing medical services to wounded soldiers and civilians alike on the battlefields of the Eastern Front. The German Red Cross (GRC) is the national Red Cross Society in Germany. With 4 million members, it is the third largest Red Cross society in the world. The German Red Cross offers a wide range of services within and outside Germany. GRC provides 52 hospitals, elderly care (over 500 nursing homes and a mobile nursing care network of covering the entire country), care for children and youth (i.e. 1.300 kindergartens, a full range of social services for children). GRC also provides 75% of the blood supply and 60% of the emergency medical services in Germany, as well as first aid training. GRC headquarters provides international humanitarian aid (disaster management and development assistance) to over 50 countries across the world. The German Social Welfare Medal is in excellent condition along with its ribbon ‘Medal for German People's Pledge’. The Red cross personal ID card comes in its original wallet/holder *age related wear* has official stamps and handwritten signatures. A lovely pair for the collector. The price includes UK delivery. 1939 Nazi 2nd Class War Merit Cross Ribbon and Certificate to a SS-Uscha Sebastian Meier. N 178. - N 178
The War Merit Cross (German: Kriegsverdienstkreuz) was a state decoration of Nazi Germany during World War II. This award was created by Adolf Hitler in October 1939 as a successor to the non-combatant Iron Cross which was used in earlier wars (similar medal but with a different ribbon). The award was graded in the same manner as the Iron Cross: War Merit Cross Second Class, War Merit Cross First Class, and Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross. The award had two variants: with swords given to soldiers for exceptional service "not in direct connection with combat", and without swords given to civilians for meritorious service in "furtherance of the war effort". The officially stamped certificate states; kriegsverdienstkreuz Klasse Mit Schwertern (War Merit Cross Class with Swords) with SS- Uscha Sebastian Meier Feldwerkstatt (Field workshop), Abt. See pages 79 & 80 of Combat Medals of the 3rd Reich by C. Ailsby for reference. In excellent order. UK delivery is included in the price. N 178.

Original, Nazi NSDAP (National Socialist German Workers Party) 2 Piece Construction Arm Band with Nazi Unit Ink Stamp. Sn 20368:7. - 20368:7
The armband was originally adopted to distinguish members of the NSDAP from members of other political parties. This was particularly important for the proto-SA whose only uniform, if they had one, was that of the old Imperial Army or of the various Freekorps of which many were veterans. The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (the Nazi party) armband was worn on the left upper arm. Its quality depended on the budget of the wearer. This is an excellent, original Nazi Party arm band. The armband is made of blood red cotton material with central stitched white roundel panel & black ink Swastika. The armband has an original Nazi Ink Eagle with Swastika and indistinct German script roundel (illustrated). The edges of the armband and roundel have the correct intricate stitching found on period Nazi items. Our example is a very good two piece with original unit stamp which authorised its issue. See page 108 of Service badges and emblems- Third Reich Cloth Insignia by B.L.Davies & I. Westwell for reference. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 20368:7 (Small flags box)
