A set of heavy brown leather German Military saddle bags dated 1940. They are nicely stamped with the date ‘1940’, makers code cgu (Stolla Sohn Vienna, Austria) and a large Waffenamt. Complete with flaps, securing straps and buckles. Shown in detail in the printed ‘Men-at-Arms Series’ No 234- ‘German Combat Equipment’s 1939-45’. Illustration page "E. WW1 1917 Dated U.S. Army M1897 Colt .38 Revolver Holster by G & K. L 389 - L 389
This is an excellent WW1 1917 dated U.S. Army Model 1897 Colt .38" revolver holster. It has a nice patina. It has a single broad retaining flap with single brass stud fastener. The front of the holster is stamped with the U.S. Army 'U.S. Roundel'. The rear of the holster features a broad 5" belt loop large enough to slide onto the cartridge belt of the day. (see Page 196 of Doughboy to G.I. by Lewis). The belt loop is nicely stamped "G & K 1917" (Graton & Knight Manufacturing Company of Massachusetts). The belt loop is stitched and secured with three rivets as well. All leather and stitching of the holster is intact. It is fitted with a muzzle tip plug with ring for a thigh retaining cord. *Rare* French Foreign Legion & WW2 Era Tan/ Sand Leather Holster for Large Frame MAB Semi-Automatic Service Pistols. Sn 10536. - 10536
The French Foreign Legion used MAB (Manufacturre d' Armes d' Bayonne) Semi-Automatic Pistols as side arms. The weapons were used by the French during WW2 and captured weapons were used by the Germans after the occupation of France. This is a rare Foreign Legion holster for Large Frame MAB pistols. The holster itself measures 9 x 6 ¼"x 1 ¼" not including the belt loop hanger. The holster is in excellent condition with all leather and stitching intact. The leather is sand/ tan coloured and has a full flap cover with side quick draw flap which has a steel strap bar attached. The muzzle end of the holster is holed for thigh cord and reinforced with brass ring. The front aspect of the holster has a magazine carrier. The open top of the carrier is covered when the flap is closed. The rear of the holster has brass rivets and a reinforced tab which supports a steel hanging ring and 2 1/2" leather belt loop with small steel ring. The inside of the lid has a faint black ink roundel stamp which is unreadable. Price for this rare Foreign Legion holster includes UK delivery. Sn 10536.

An original WW1 / WW2 era Austrian Stolla Wien Hard Case Belt / Shoulder Holster For Steyr Semi Automatic Pistols. The holster has a flap top cover and single retaining strap with single stud fastener. The holster has a single belt loop and 2 additional stitched leather straps for adaption to shoulder holster. The body of the holster is crisply marked by the Austrian maker ‘Stolla Wien’ within roundel. The flap is impressed ‘1 ABT.5C59’ (most likely a Regiment mark or stores code). The mouth of the box type holster is 97mm wide x 26mm broad. The length from the highest part of the slanted mouth to the muzzle is 185mm. The length from the lowest part of the mouth to the muzzle is 150mm. The internal width of the muzzle end of the holster is approx. 50mm. All leather and stitching are clean & intact. The front of the holster has a magazine pouch the top of which is covered by the flap when closed. The rear of the holster has a single belt loop. The body of the holster is crisply manufacturer marked & dated ‘Muhlenfeld & Co Barmen 1915'. The mouth of the holster is 97mm wide. The length from the mouth to the muzzle is 164mm. The length from the rivet on the front left rivet of the holster body to the muzzle is 95mm. All leather and stitching are clean & intact. The price includes UK delivery. L 349

Original WWI Dated 1917 British Army Officer's Leather Sam Browne Ammunition Pouch by Manufacturer T. Thomasson & Co. L 347. - L 347
This pattern of pouch was used in conjunction with the Sam Browne equipment (The Sam Browne belt is a leather belt with a supporting strap that passes over the right shoulder, worn by military and police officers. It is named after Sir Samuel J. Browne (1824–1901), the British Indian Army general who invented it.) throughout the Great War by British Army Officers. It was designed to hold 12 loose rounds undoubtedly for the Webley .455 Mk VI. It stayed in service throughout the inter-war period and into the Second World War. This example is maker marked T. Thommason & Co. The overall condition is very good as can be seen in the photographs with no damage or major marks. It appears to have had limited use, if any. The price includes UK delivery. L 347.
