Limited Edition Signed Print 32/500 'The Dreaded Salvo' by Robin Smith. SN 10416:2 - 10416:2 A limited edition signed print 32/500 'The Dreaded Salvo' by Robin Smith. The print is a striking image of a Hawker Typhoon 1B of 181 Squadron, 2nd Tactical Air Force firing a 'salvo' of rockets towards a freight train travelling through the countryside, as part of the preparation for the D-Day Invasion. The print is signed by the artist and also by veteran pilots 'Flight Officer Ken Trott of 195/197 Squadrons and Flt. Lt. 'Pip' Phillips of 182 Squadron. The reverse of the print has an authentication certificate signed by the author confirming it as print 32/500 printed. The print is professionally framed and has a double card insert. The frame is in excellent condition. The rear of the frame has a hanging wire and loops making the print ready for wall hanging. The frame measures 31 1/2" x 26". The print is signed in the bottom right by the artist and the print has "Geoff Nutkins September 92" on the bottom right. The print is set inside a double card insert and has been professionally mounted behind glass. The frame measures 28" x 23 1/2". The sketch depicts 'Seeking Mosquitos and Beaufighters, Oberleutnant Kurt Schulze leads a formation of ME 109's off the coast of Norway during October 1944'. The sketch is also signed by Schulze in the bottom right. The sketch is professionally mounted in a frame behind glass and has a card border insert. The frame measures 20 1/2" x 15 1/2". Sn 10417:2 - 10417:2 A Framed Limited Edition 076/150 signed print of the Hawker Typhoon Mk1B R7752 PR_G, signed by the artist Malcolm Kinnear, Wing Commander R. Beaumont and 10 other signatures. The print is inside a glass covered frame which is in perfect condition and the print has a blue border insert. The Typhoon is painted in colour and is in the centre of the print with the Royal Air Force Crest top centre in colour. The artist has drawn a bust sketch of Wing Commander Roland Beaumont, the test pilot, in the top left of the picture. The bottom half of the print has a history of 609 (West Riding) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air, in the centre bottom a history of the Hawker Typhoon Mk1B R7752 PR-G and at the top right a history of Wing Commander Beaumont. This is a very nice Limited Edition signed print and on the reverse it has a signed authenticity certificate published in 1995 by Artistic Flight Limited Editions and signed by Stephen Spencer. The framet measures 20 1/2" x 15 1/2". The print also has a cord hanging wire making it ready for hanging on the wall. Post WW2 U.S. Navy Parachute Pack Complete With Harness, Buckles & White Parachute. Sn 8344. - 8344 This is a Post WW2 U.S. Navy Back Pack Parachute. It has it's full nylon webbing harness with heavy duty plated buckles and hook catches together with side mounted parachute release catch handle. The back pack which measures 26x 17x 7 inches, is constructed of green nylon and has a central release cable. The pack is marked in ink 'U.S. Navy Parachute' with various contract numbers (illustrated). The parachutes stud fasteners and press suds together with all material are complete and intact. It is complete with it's extended original leather strap with metal buckle for wearing on the arm over Flight suits.
