1st Edition Handbook For The Ordnance, Q.F. 25 Pr, Mark II On Carriage, 25 Pr. Mark I Land Service 1940. BO 308 - BO 308
This is an official publication by H.M.S.O. for the Standard British Field Gun and Howitzer of WW2 and beyond. It was introduced into service just before the war started combining high angle and direct fire, relatively high rates of fire and a reasonably lethal shell in a highly mobile piece. It remained the British Army's primary field piece well into the 1960's. This copy of the handbook is a 1st edition of 1940 and has a multitude of ammendments dated 1941 and 1942. As it was an official publication and not for general release to the press or the public, copies are scarce and highly sought after. This is a clean, tight copy of a rare book. The price includes UK delivery. BO 308
