DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a rare American naval brass and wood drill round for the 3”Mk6/50 Caliber QF gun fitted to various WW2 American warships and submarines. The wood and brass round is 88 cm long and weighs 10.7kg. This round would have been used by the gun crews for training in gun drill, the round replicating the weight and size of the M15B1 high explosive round. The base is marked 3” DUMMY CARTRIDGE MK 6/50 CAL HMC 1944 329486-B-6-BET (naval anchor). No licence is required to possess this round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired WW2 1944 dated American 57mm Armour Piercing Capped Ballistic Capped High Explosive (APCBC/HE) base fused round for the American M1 anti-tank gun, adopted from the British 6pr 7cwt anti-tank gun in 1941 and issued in 1943 to ground troops. The olive green painted projectile has a copper driving band which is stamped AWC 2-60-1944-57MM-M86 round its circumference . The projectile is fitted with a transit plug for the base fuse. The brass cartridge case is headstamped 57MM M23A2 F.A. (Frankfurt Arsenal) 1943 LOT17 . The brass primer is stamped M1B1A1 PA10-22205-74 1942 . The projectile retains most of its original olive green finish. DEACTIVATED INERT. This is an unfired 1988 dated Soviet PTAB2.5KO HE-FRAG (High Explosive-Fragmentation) steel fragmentation bomblet that is dispersed from a container carried by aircraft and helicopters. This bomblet is an anti-tank/personal type with fragmentation rings to the external surface. There are 6 folding fins that deploy in flight and an arming propeller. PTAB translates to ‘Anti-tank aviation bomb. The air to ground fin stabilised fragmentation bomb was developed in the early 1950s and first introduced into service in April 1955. This fragmentation bomb is a Soviet PTAB2.5KO HE-FRAG (High Explosive Fragmentation) projectile which produced 75 splinters on detonation and was launched using dedicated rocket canisters,(ORO-57, ORO- 57K, UB-16-57 and UB-32 pods) holding 4 – 32 rockets. These canisters were fitted to standard bomb hardpoints on aircraft. Aircraft using this rocket were the MiG-15bis, MiG-17, Su-25 and the Mil 24 helicopter. The silver coloured fragmentation bomb is stencilled in black including S-5M over 3-77-406 over A-IX-2 over W-5MI. There is also a black square enclosing ET over M-16. It is also stamped in various places 3 KT 04 2DT. The bomb body is stencilled in black JTA5-2.3KO T5/?OA-3 over n-88 . The circumference of the screw in steel nose is stamped 1-A5. The rear stabilising fins are kept retracted over the rocket venturi and spring out when the sleeve is removed. The fins are stencilled in black with the following numbers in circles 29 34 64 . The arming fin on the rear of the bomblet is stencilled in black 5-17 350? 9-88 (September 1988 date). INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a German WW2 3.7cm SC/30 High Explosive Trace (HET) round for the 3.7cm Schiffskanone SK C/30, a German naval pattern high altitude, high velocity, anti-aircraft/coastal defence gun. These guns were also fitted in a twin mount on surface vessels. The brass cartridge case is headstamped P over C/30 148 E over 1935 (date) marine waffenampt. The unfired steel high explosive projectile retains most of its original yellow paint and has 2 iron driving bands. The projectile has a 6mm wide red tracer band above the top driving band and a 9mm wide black band below the alloy fuse. The unfired projectile is stamped above the driving band asa-109 and isa . There is a feint stencil in black dnl 4331/4 on the side of the projectile. An empty tracer screw in tracer capsule is in the base of the projectile. INERT DEACTIVATED German WW2 3.7cm PAK 36 Pzgr 40 tungsten cored arrowhead projectiled APCR/T (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid/Trace) round. The projectile is in its correctly crimped steel cartridge with the crimp lower than other projectiles, enclosing most of the body of the projectile below the case mouth. The unfired projectile consists of a steel body with an unscrewable alloy cap which exposes the tungsten core. There is a base cavity for a tracer element. The base of the projectile is stamped auz (Polte-Werk, Arnstadt). The side of the projectile is stamped 41 (1941) auz (Polte-Werk, Arnstadt) 2a . This is a rare WW2 DEACTIVATED INERT unfired German naval WW2, 1941 dated APCBC (Armour Piercing Capped Ballistic Capped base fused) round for the German 15cm deck gun (150 x 815R). These guns were originally fitted during and pre WW1 as the casemate-mounted secondary armament in all Imperial German dreadnought battleships and battlecruisers, the armored cruiser This WW2 45.3 kilograms (100 lb) projectile was used in the 15 cm Rheinmetall TbtsK C/36 gun and was a German medium-caliber naval gun deployed on Type 1936A (Narvik class) destroyers during the Second World War. The steel high explosive projectile is fitted with two iron driving bands and is stamped 7540 Kriegsmarine stamp over M1 . The Cap between the projectile and the ballistic cap is stamped 7540 and the ballistic cap is also stamped 7540 Together with L32/A . The base of the projectile is stamped 7545 27 . The base fuse adapter is stamped 7545 . There is also black stenciling on the base of the projectile 44.(27??) KG APN . The case is Stamped 15CM SK L/45 RA 1 1957 and various reissue stamps. The case is also stenciled ?.86-KG over BALL 297 over LOT 66-N31-8 over LAB over 11-OSD-85 . These guns were later used by the Norwegians after WW2 for their costal defense, using the guns left behind by the Germans and repatriated to the Norwegians after WW2. When the supply of original German cartridge cases was used up, the Norwegians started manufacture of the cartridge cases. This is one of those cartridge cases. Most of these guns were still available for use until the 1990s. This is an inert unfired Russian 76.2mm (76.2 x 385R) Arrowhead APCR (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid) round used in WW2 in early T 34/76 tanks. The round was also used in the following Russian guns; the 76mm divisional field gun M1942 (ZiS3), 76mm mountain gun GP (M1966), D-56T tank gun (PT-76 light amphibious tank), NORINCO 76mm field gun type 54. This was a successful projectile used in the anti-tank role first used in WW2. This type of construction, APCR (Armour Piercing Composite Rigid) was a tungsten core in a waisted steel projectile with a pressed steel ballistic cap on top of the projectile. This unfired round consists of a copper driving banded steel projectile with a pressed steel ballistic cap on top, retaining much of its original green paint. The projectile is stamped 3 EB 99 7694 . The brass cartridge case retains most of its original black stenciling Hk 76 K-42 Vo=465m/v Dg dp 0,8/3-10,5- nma29/44-H/60+Sn Pb . The cartridge case is headstamped 8 E4(rampant lion)50 agm 1950 76mm Kvz 42S . The brass primer is stamped NZ 46S EVR 36/48 -fut- (rampant lion) .
