For nearly 300 years the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)fought everywhere from the jungle swamps of the Far East to the frozen lands of Northern Europe. They took part in every campaign from the days of Marlborough and Wellington to Dunkirk, El Alamein and beyond. This is an excellent clean & undamaged Other Ranks Undress Tunic to the Cameronians. It is made of heavy dark blue/ rifle green serge material. It has Black Victoria Crown buttons, false gauntlet cuffs, loops and pocket flaps all edged with black braid. The epaulettes are embroided 'SR' (Scottish Rifles). The tunic has never been fitted with collar badges. British 1949 Pattern, Lance Corporal's, Portsmouth Grammar School Combined Cadet Force (CCF), Northern Section, Battledress Blouson Jacket By Bloom Ltd, Manchester. U 365. - U 365
Founded in 1732 Portsmouth Grammar School has, throughout it's history, maintained a Combined Cadet Force (CCF). This comprises the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy. Each section has its own residential camps based around the country. This is an excellent original British 1949 Pattern Battledress Blouse Tunic To Portsmouth Grammar CCF. It is clean, undamaged with all material, stitching and buttons in tact. Both epaulettes are mounted with slip on removeable blue cloth bands. The shoulders are mounted with blue patches embroided in gold 'Northern GS' (Northern Grammar Section) & 'CCF Portsmouth'. Both arms bear Lance Corporal stripe rank insignia. The left shoulder is fitted with an original cord lanyard with end loops. The inside of the blouse has an excellent white label printed in black ink '1949 pattern, Size 9' with additional size information and retailer detail 1954 date & War Dept arrow (all illustrated). This is a nice original WW2 Khaki , Middlesex Regiment Battledress Blouson Tunic. The blouse is single breasted with closed collar, pleated front flap pockets and adjustable waistband with buckle. It is clean & undamaged, all stitching and buttons are in tact. The sleeves are mounted with Formation patches & red cloth bars embroided 'Middlesex' (Regiment). The left breast is stitch mounted with Campaign ribbons. The inside of the blouse has a complete white label however all ink markings on the label are faded and unreadable. This is a nice original WW2 1940 Pattern, Khaki , Corps Of Military Police, Battledress Blouse Tunic. The blouse is single breasted with closed collar, plain front flap pockets and adjustable waistband with buckle. It is clean & undamaged. The body and left sleeve of the jacket has minor mothing. All stitching and buttons are in tact. The sleeves are mounted with black and white 'Bulldog' cloth Formation patches for the Eastern Command UK CMP (Luton, East Anglia, Midlands) together with embroided Corporal's Stripes rank insignia. The shoulders have red cloth bars printed in black with the Corps Of Military Police designation 'C.M.P.'. It has embossed brass Kings Regiment buttons and the shoulder straps bear Gilt Kings Crown Rank Insignia. The inside of the tunic has a nice cloth label ink marked ' Flights Ltd, 4 New Burlington Street, London W1' with date 19-6-39 and '2 Lieut L.G. Peel 5/8th'. The chest is mounted with Campaign medal ribbons. The inside of it's white high collar is stamped 'Patrol 15 1/2' (Collar size) together with 'L.G. Peel'. The tunic is approx UK size 38" chest. The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment), formerly the 3rd Regiment of Foot was an Infantry Regiment of the British Army until 1961. It had a history dating back to 1572 and was one of the oldest Regiments in the British Army. It provided distinguished service over a period of almost four hundred years accumulating one hundred and sixteen battle honours. Following a series of amalgamations since 1961 its lineage is today continued by the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment. This is an original WW2 Pattern Buffs, Officer's Uniform. The Tunic is clean & undamaged and has just the service wear to be expected. It is single breasted with open collar, pleated chest pockets and plain lower pockets with flaps. The epaulettes bear enamel and gilt rank insignia stars of Captain. The lapels have Silver Buffs badges by 'JR Gaunt'. The tunic is mounted with WW2 campaign ribbons. The Tunic is clean & undamaged and has just the service wear to be expected. It is single breasted with open collar, pleated chest pockets and hidden lower pockets with plain flaps. The epaulettes bear the single King's Crown Rank Badge of Major. All of the Tunic's brass buttons which bear the Arms of the Manchester Regiment are present. The inside of the top left pocket flap has a white label with printed retailer's name 'John's & Pegg Ltd, 4 Clifford Street, London, W.1' The Tunic is approx UK size 38" Chest. The matching trousers have side slash pockets, hidden rear seat pocket and lower turn ups on the legs. The legs of the trousers have some service wear and stain patches.
