*Mint* British No7 Mk1/L Bayonet, Scabbard and ‘37’ Pattern Webbing Frog. BAYO 785. - BAYO 785
This is a British No7 Mk1/Lbayonet with brown tufnol grips. The No7 bayonet was only approved for land service hence the suffix L to the bayonet designation No7 Mk1/L. This is stamped crisply on the blade ricasso. These bayonets were mainly issued to the Guards and occasional use with the Mk5 Sten gun. The bayonet has a swivelling pommel which allowed it to be fixed to the No4 rifle and the Sten sub machine gun. The blade is the standard bowie shape as used on the No5 jungle carbine and successive marks including the No9 and L1A1 series. The scabbard is the standard No5 Mk2 with a brass mouthpiece. The ‘37’ pattern frog is in incredible condition inspection stamps to the rear. See Skennerton pages 243/44, item B299. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 785. (Box 2).

Australian ‘LIA2’ Bayonet and Scabbard. BAYO 765. - BAYO 765
This is the Australian version of the British ‘L1A1’ and remained thus for all of its service life, unlike the British version which had minor changes, up to ‘L1A4’. The Australian version is unmarked , and was originally parkerised all over, but the grips on this example have been painted black at some point in its lifetime. The blade is in very good condition. The scabbard is the ‘No5’ version with the steel mouthpiece and has ‘S294’ stamped to it. It is showing a few signs of age/use related wear but works as it should. See ‘Skennerton’ item A32 on pages 291 and 292. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 765. (Other Countries Box 3)

Czech VZ 24 WWII German Occupation Manufacture Bayonet, Scabbard and Frog. BAYO 734. - BAYO 734
This is the scarce WW2 Czech VZ24 rifle bayonet and scabbard made under the German occupation in WW2. The bayonet carries the German military factory code of tgf designating manufacture by the Tscheckische Gewehr Fabrik (Czech rifle weapons factory). The Germans continued the manufacture of both the VZ23 and VZ24 bayonets through WW2 but not in the same large numbers as the Mauser K98 bayonet. This bayonet has a 298mm parkerised blade which doesn’t appear to have been re sharpened and a steel muzzle ring and pommel. The wooden grips are held on by 2 screw bolts and are unmarked. The scabbard is made of blued steel accompanied with a leather frog. VZ24 bayonets made under German occupation seldom appear on the market. See Martin J. Brayley, An Illustrated History of Bayonets, Pages 52 – 54. The price includes U.K. delivery. BAYO 734. (All countries Box 3)
