Conditions of Sale and Trading with JC. Militaria.

Please read our conditions of sale carefully. They are not excessively demanding and are there to ensure safe trading between us. Nothing in these conditions affect your statutory rights. They will be updated as and when issues are raised and best practice identified ( 08.11.06)

Note: Sales of edged weapons, air weapons, de-activated firearms and munitions will not be made to anyone under the age of 18 years.

1. Guarantee

1:1 We endeavour to describe all items as accurately as possible and with the aid of photographs provide a clear view of the item and its condition. We offer a guarantee that if a customer is not satisfied in any way with the item or items received the item or items can be returned for a full refund within 7 days.

1:2 Please note that although we make every effort to keep our website up to date it is possible that an item offered for sale may have been sold or become unavailable before we have updated the site. In this case we will advise you accordingly and return any payment made.

1:3 We must be informed by telephone, fax or email that the item is to be returned as soon as possible after it has been received. In the case of U.K. based customers returns must be made within 7 days of receipt. European based customers within 10 days of receipt. All other parts of the World within 14 days of receipt of order.

1:4 All funds paid by the customer with the exception of postage costs will be refunded. All items returned must be in the same condition as dispatched, If there is any damage, alteration, disassembly or tampering then JC.Militaria reserves the right to decline to refund payment.

2. Payments

2:1 We accept all major credit and debit cards and operate a wireless terminal from our offices. It is not possible to pay by credit card on line . We can also accept credit card, chip and pin, in person at the militaria fairs which we attend. Goods ordered from the web site can be paid for using a credit card by contacting us during business hours. A 2% surcharge is added for all credit card payments.

2:2 Payments can also be made by personal cheque, postal orders, sterling international money orders, all payable to JC Militaria Ltd. Sterling cash, euros and U.S. dollars, at an agreed exchange rate, are also accepted. Cash payments should be sent by recorded or special delivery to our registered company address.

2:3 Registered Address for payments only: JC Militaria Ltd, C/O 1, South Parade, Bramhall, Cheshire SK7 3BH. U.K.

2:4 Direct bank transfers, in sterling only, are accepted, please contact us for the IBAN and BIC numbers.

2:5 Paypal invoices can also be generated for specific goods, not deactivated weapons or munitions because of Paypal restrictions. Due to the high commission charges levied by Paypal a 4% charge will be added when payment is made by this method.

2:6 Overseas customers, payment can be made with a US dollars check, or International money order (orderable from any Bank), please add $20 to cover UK bank charges.

2:7 Unless an order is subject to a previously agreed lay-away plan payment is due within seven days (United Kingdom), 14 days (for overseas). After this time items will be returned for general sale.

2:8 New customers please allow 10 days for bank clearance on your remittance before dispatch is effected. Thereafter returning customers may expect dispatch by return of post.

3. Postage & Shipping

N.B. No goods will be dispatched until full payment has been received.

3:1 When purchasing from the shopping basket of this web site the total amount of your invoice includes all of your shipping charges. Prices obtained directly from us are subject to additional postage charges.

3:2 However, we reserve the right to surcharge any orders that are of an extreme weight outside of the pre-computed weight tables preloaded into the web site.

3:3 JC.Militaria can take no responsibility for un-insured damage, loss in transit or breakages which occur once goods have been dispatched. We take every care to pack items safely for posting. We always obtain proof of postage and where possible utilize recorded delivery in the UK, International signed for elsewhere or special delivery. Once posted we cannot control delivery however we can prove that items have been sent. Please ask for additional insurance if you require it.

3:4 Our preferred courier is the Royal Mail but we can send by FedEx, Amtrak or other reputable courier service if required. We will be happy to quote for this service.

3:5 We will send any item offered for sale world wide; however this is subject to any legal restrictions that may exist in the country of destination. Purchasers must confirm that the items ordered can legally be imported and possessed in the country to which they are being sent.

3:6 Goods that we believe may cause disruption to the postal service when sent via air mail will be dismantled and sent via surface mail. Such items will be accompanied by confirmation that those good are safe, inert, deactivated and / or free from all explosive content. Customers will be advised of the likely time delay before delivery.

4. Reserved Goods / Lay away Plan

4:1 Subject to a 20% non returnable deposit, goods may be reserved and paid for on a mutually agreed time scale. Further details on request. Default on payment will result in the return of payments made less the initial deposit.
