India Pattern No 1 - MK1 ** Bayonet With The Fuller Running to the Tip, Scabbard & Frog. Sn 12829. - 12829 An Indian Pattern No.1- MK I** bayonet and leather scabbard. This is a shortened conversion of an earlier bayonet with the fuller running to the tip and with an addition of a false edge. This is a conversion in the India pattern range of a 1907 Wilkinson made bayonet. According to Skennerton's many of these conversions with a false edge were done during the 1950's. This example was done in 1956 and carries the stamp "F.R. 56" denoting 'Factory repair 1956'. The other side of the ricasso has a faint stamp of Wilkinson's, Crown over "G.R." but now over stamped with "MK **". The bayonet is in excellent condition. It has a blued 12" blade. It has slab wood grips which are secured with two screw bolts and one is stamped with Indian inspection marks. The pommel has a release button which operates smoothly and it has a clearance hole. *Scarce* 1909 Dated Canadian Ross Mark I, 1908 Patent, Bayonet with Stepped Back Muzzle Ring & Original Blade Tip, Complete With 1909 Dated Scabbard With Integral Frog. Sn 10880:25. - 10880:25 A WW1 Canadian Ross Mark I bayonet, for the Ross Rifle, complete with its scabbard and frog. The bayonet measures 14 3/4 inches overall and has a nice 10 inch blade. The bayonets wood slab grips are in good undamaged condition and are stamped with inspection marks and regimental number, "K 692". The grips are secured with two screw bolts. One side of the pommel bears the manufacturer's patent details ' Ross Rifle Co. Quebec, Patented 1907' the reverse is stamped '08' with the War Department 'Crows Foot' and '06/09' ( June 1909 date) with "08" and an inspection mark. The cross guard is straight with a stepped back muzzle ring and inside this is a recess which contains a split annular spring with three flattened surfaces. This acts against the muzzle and ring to provide a rattle free and positive fit. The bayonet is often referred to as the Pattern 1908 bayonet. Only 52,000 were made of the first pattern making this a scarce bayonet. The bayonet is complete with its beautifully patinated leather covered scabbard which has an integral leather frog with a large single belt loop. The scabbard is regimental stamped with "W 6 10 BH D 22" and date stamped adjacent to the stitching on the reverse with "1909". *Exceptional* Spanish M1893 Sword Bayonet & Steel Mounted Leather Scabbard. BAYO 42. - BAYO 42 The Mauser Model 1893 is a bolt-action rifle commonly referred to as the Spanish Mauser, though the model was adopted by other countries in other calibers, most notably the Ottoman Empire. The M1893 was based on the experimental M1892 rifle, which Paul Mauser developed for the Spanish Army as part of a program to correct deficiencies in the earlier 1889, 1890, and 1891 series of Mauser rifles. A Spanish M1893 Sword bayonet and black leather scabbard for the 7mm Mauser short rifle. It has wooden chequered grips secured with two screw bolts. The pommel is steel and incorporates a push button release. The cross guard is steel stamped with the number ‘23’ and has a muzzle ring. The ricasso has traces of the correct markings of 'Artilleria FCA Nacional' on one side and a serial number "14827" on the other. It has a 15 ½ " long, polished steel single edge blade which is fullered. The black leather scabbard is steel mounted and in excellent condition with stitching and metalwork is in very good order. *Rare* Brazilian 1908 Pattern Bayonet & Brass Mounted Leather Scabbard. BAYO 40. - BAYO 40 A rare Brazilian 1908 Pattern bayonet and brass mounted leather scabbard. This is the bayonet for the new 7mm Rifle adopted by Brazil in 1908. It has a swept forward quillon and fullered blade. It has unmarked wooden slab grips secured with two steel rivets. The pommel is steel and has a push button release which works as it should. It has a clearing hole in the grips adjacent to the cross guard. There are no markings on the bayonet. The bayonet has a 11 ¾ " polished steel single edge blade. The stitching on the brass mounted leather scabbard is intact and has a number on the frog stud "e 745" (see 'An Illustrated History Of Bayonets' book by Martin J Brayley, Page 38) This is an uncommon and attractive bayonet. Australian Owen MK I Bayonet Made at Lithgow In 1952 With Wooden Grips Marked SLAZ 52 & Leather Scabbard. Sn 10880:20. - 10880:20 An Australian Owen MK I bayonet made at Lithgow in 1952 with wooden grips marked "SLAZ 52" and complete with a leather scabbard. The bayonet has a Parkerised single edged blade which is fullered. The blade measures 10". The waisted cross guard is straight with a muzzle ring. The ricasso is stamped on one side with "X A52" and on the other side with the War department 'Crows Foot' and "53". The slab wood grips are secured with two screw bolts and both are stamped with "SLAZ 52". The pommel has a cleaning hole and release push button which operates smoothly. The bayonet is complete with a leather scabbard with steel locket and chape which is in very good condition and is stamped with "OA". Norwegian 1894/M1 Krag Bayonet, Scabbard & Frog. BAYO 275. - BAYO 275 A converted Norwegian 1894/M1 Krag bayonet made by converting the Krag 1894 bayonet, scabbard and frog. The bayonet was made by converting the Krag 1894 bayonet from the 1950's by welding a muzzle ring to the cross guard. This was done in the 1950's when Norway, like the Dutch and many other countries were being supplied by the U.S.A. The bayonet has a 8 1/2" long single edged blade which has inspection stamps at the ricasso. It has a stepped muzzle ring welded to the cross guard and also has a push button to release the bayonet from the scabbard, as can be seen in one of the photographs. It has smooth wood grips secured with one screw bolt. The scabbard is the correct scabbard for the bayonet and is steel, painted black. It has a catch to secure the bayonet. The green webbing frog is riveted to the top of the scabbard and is stitched to form a belt loop and it also has a wire belt clip in the US style. The bayonet, scabbard and frog are all in very good condition.
