British 1907 Pattern, Enfield Made, 1909 Dated Hooked Quillon Bayonet - BAYO 271
This is a British 1907 pattern bayonet with a hooked quillon made at Enfield. The blade is marked to the with a feint crown over ER and a clear 1907 over 2 ’09 (February 1909 manufacture date) over EFD (Enfield). The other side of the blade carries a bread arrow over an inspection mark and a capital N. The pommel is regimentally stamped with R.M. over I (Royal Marines Infantry) and L7504. The scabbard is the Mk II pattern with all of its stitching intact. The bayonet is contained in its 1908 pattern webbing frog with strap for the helve carrier. British Wilkinson 1888 Pattern Mark I, 2nd Type, Lee Metford Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 267
This is a Lee Metford, 1888 Mark I second type bayonet manufactured for the British .303 calibre Enfield, Lee Metford Rifle. The bayonets 12 inch double edged blade is unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The ricasso of the blade is marked WILKINSON LONDON 7 ‘93 (July 1893 manufacture date) ‘03and various other inspection stamps. The other side carries an arrow over W.D. and an inspection stamp. The grips are made of wood, held together with two brass rivets and there is an inspection stamp on each one. There is a oil clearance hole behind the top rivet. The steel pommel carries the mumber 50 which is repeated on the top of he scabbard mouthpiece which is a standard 1888 mark 1. See Skennerton item B213 on pages 16 - 173. British Volunteer Pattern 1888 Mark II, 2nd Pattern, Lee Metford Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 626
This is a Volunteer pattern 1888 Mark II second pattern bayonet manufactured for the British .303 calibre Lee Metford Rifle which were issued to British and allied forces during the Boer war and in WW1. The bayonet blade is in good clean condition with original polish, 12" in length, double edged, unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The bayonet and scabbard are completely devoid of any markings except for the number 26 stamped into one of the wooden grips as per photograph. The bayonet is devoid of an oil hole in the grips or the pommel. The bayonet is contained in the correct standard 1888 mark 1 steel mounted leather scabbard for this bayonet. At some point in this bayonets service, the scabbard has lost its steel bottom chape. See Skennerton item B216 page 170 and 171. The leather price includes UK delivery. BAYO 626

Spanish CETME M1969 Bolo Knife Bayonet And Scabbard - BAYO 621
This is a Spanish CETME M1969 Bolo knife bayonet and scabbard. The unfullered bolo blade is stamped with the Toledo coat of arms under the serial number EI 45169B on one side and the factory crest of the Instituto Nacional de Industria (INI) on the other side. The end of the pommel has the unusual rectangular mortise slot on the pommel face. The black plastic cross hatched grips are undamaged. The green plastic scabbard is undamaged as it the webbing frog, (see page 253 of White & Watts ‘The Bayonet Book’). This is a very nice complete and original bayonet and scabbard. French 1868 Dated Model 1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonet By St Etienne Arsenal, Blade Manufactured By Alex Coppel, Germany With Brass Grip & Steel Scabbard - BAYO 619
This is an original French model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet (See pages 70 and 71 of ‘An Illustrated History Of Bayonets’ by Brayley). The steel fullered single edged ‘T’ back Yataghan blade has staining consistent with age and is 22 ¾” length. The blade of the bayonet is stamped with the German makers trademark of Alex Coppel and the bayonet carries more than the usual inspection stamps. The back of the blade is marked with the name of the French Arsenal St Etienne and is dated 7th February 1872 in French. The bayonet has the correct steel hooked quillon with muzzle ring. The bayonet has a ribbed brass grip with flat spring and steel push button. The blade has small inspection marks. The cross guard is stamped X 9482 on the quillion. The bayonet is complete with the correct steel scabbard and is stamped 90986 near the throat. The scabbard has no dents and has its original fixed strap bar. Captured French / Prussian 1872 Dated Model 1866 Chassepot Yataghan Sword Bayonet By St Etienne Arsenal With Brass Grip & Steel Scabbard Captured In The Franco Prussian War And Reissued By The Prussians - BAYO 621
An original French model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet (See pages 70 and 71 of ‘An Illustrated History Of Bayonets’ by Brayley). The steel fullered single edged ‘T’ back Yataghan blade has staining consistent with age and is 22 ¾” length. The bayonet has the correct steel hooked quillon with muzzle ring. The bayonet has a ribbed brass grip with flat spring and steel push button. The blade has small inspection marks. The cross guard is stamped 66.L.I.222 on the quillion when it was captured by the Prussians in the Franco Prussian War and reissued by the Prussian Army. The back of the blade is marked with the name of the French Arsenal St Etienne and is dated 7th February 1872 in French. The bayonet is complete with the correct steel scabbard and is stamped IL C 4517 near the throat. The scabbard has an even patina, no dents and has its original fixed strap bar.
