This is a very good original WW2 era German Sniper Telescopic Sight for Mauser K98 rifles. The sight is undamaged and the optics with 3 post military reticle function as they should (unable to photograph through viewing lens). The sight is marked with manufacturer detail, serial number and the adjustment wheel is marked 7 ½ (magnification) all illustrated. The scope has its original, period, leather lens protector covers marked ‘38’ and ‘56’. Its Overall length is 38.5 cm. This is an original, WW1 Era British Officers Private Purchase Extendable Folding Trench Periscope Mirror With Canvas & Leather Trimmed Pouch With Shoulder Strap Complete With 4 Spare Mirrors. There are no makers markings or dates. The size of the piece fully extended is 75cm. The metal hinged folding poles have a central wing nut which locks the pole straight or at an angle chosen by the user. The removable metal mirror casing with mirror slots onto the top of the pole securely. One of the pouches is padded and holds 4 original spare mirrors. Cased, British WW2 1945 No.14A MK III x 10 Brass Trench Periscope By HGP With Sun Visor & Screw Off Wood Handle. Sn 18196:17 - 18196:17
An excellent British WW2 dated Brass Trench Periscope. The scope itself measures 17” overall without handle and is 29” overall with its screw off wood handle attached. It has an adjustable graduated eyepiece with Bakelite eye cup. All optics function as they should. The scope has its original leather lens cover attached to the frame and sun shield which clips to the frame when not in use and attaches to the viewing lens by bayonet type catch when in use. The shield is attached to the frame by riveted leather straps. The frame is crisply marked 'Periscope No.14A MK III x10 4 HGP 1945 OS 676 GA Regd No 8611' highlighted in white. The frame also has another indistinct cast number. The brass scope retains its original green paint. The scope is contained in its original green painted hard fibre fitted case which has a padded hinged lid, webbing strap fastener with brass buckle and webbing shoulder strap with brass buckle. Transit Cased, WW1 British WD Barr & Stroud Ltd Vickers Machine Gun No 12 MK III Rangefinder With WW1 1917 Dated Houghton & Butcher Tripod (Supplied To Irish Free State Army In 1921) . OPT 818 - OPT 818
This is a WW1 era British Vickers machine gun range finding No 12 MKIII scope with case and 1917 dated tripod. After WW1, in 1921 these rangefinders together with other arms and equipment were supplied by Britain to the Irish Free State (IFS) army as a result of IFS’s support during the great war. These rangefinders were used by machine gun crews to calculate the distance / trajectory of targets bot in direct range and distant peaks to triangulate on maps. This set in contained in its original wooden transit chest with its rare leather cover. The range finder was manufactured by Barr & Stroud Ltd under a British WD contract and retains its original green paint finish and shoulder strap. The scope has identification plates with WD marks, designations and Barr & Stroud Ltd London manufacturer detail (all illustrated). The tripod stand is marked with Houghton & Butcher manufacturer detail, serial number, No.14 MK II model designation & ‘1917’ date. The wooden chest is in excellent condition with all straps and catches in good working order. Internally the case is in similar condition and is complete with its brass attachment rod in the lid compartment and original instructions for use. This is an original Soviet gun sight for Tanks & armoured vehicles. The sight retains all of its original paint. It has the correct graduated dials. The body has identification markings ‘AON-1’ above 021-77 (1977 date). It has its original handles and eye cup. The sight measures 10” width x 12 ½” height. The sight comes with its original steel transit case which retains its original finish and has matching stencilled markings. The case with hinged lid, clasp fasteners and carry handle has compartments to fit its accessories which consist of replacement lens housings, rubber fittings and grommets, cleaning cloths and illustrated instruction pamphlets all in Russian text. These are an original cased pair of Nazi German Army, 6 X 30 Magnification, Binoculars. The Binoculars have a black textured finish, with adjustable eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars and are fitted with original leather neck strap. All optics are excellent and function as they should. One shoulder of the binoculars is marked ‘Dienstglas 6 x 30, 46586 & ‘H/6400’. The other is marked by the manufacturer ‘Voigtlaender’ ( u. Sohn AG, Braunschweig). The Binoculars are contained in their fitted sturdy leather case with hinged lid, clasp fastener and hanging bars fitted with shoulder strap. The case has period applied field green camouflage paint.
