**MINT**Boxed, 1980’s West Germany FB Record (BARTHELMS, FRITZ) Record Jumbo .177 Calibre 'Top Lever' Air Pistol With Accessories. Sn 23483 - 23483
The Company FB Record was founded by Fritz Barthelms in 1948. Production of airguns began in the late 1960s. In the 1980s, the Record brand began to include more substantial and interesting air pistols. The strangely named Jumbo features one of the most interesting mechanisms in the airgun field, a very compact concentric piston design with 'top lever' cocking action. This is a near mint fully functioning example of the Record Jumbo. Its metal work retains its original finish. It has undamaged wood grips. The pistol is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'FB Record', 'Cal .177’ and 'Made In West Germany'. The pistol has a safety catch to the left side of the frame and it loads and fires with a strong spring action. The pistol is complete with its original green cardboard box sleeve with’ FB Record Jumbo’ detail and contoured polystyrene box with removable lid which snugly fits the pistol. Also included is a Dynamit Nobel pellet tin which contains a quantity of .177 calibre waisted lead pellets, wire cleaning brush and the pistol’s original illustrated instruction pamphlet. **MINT**UN-USED CONDITION**ORIGINAL BOXED**Post 1958, Webley Senior Air Pistol With 2 Barrels (.177 & .22 Calibres). Sn 23494 - 23494
This is a near mint Webley Senior air pistol in un-used condition with matching number original box & 2 barrels. It has undamaged brown plastic grips with Webley roundels. The blue finish is as new. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham' and 'Webley Patents' (The pre 1958 Birmingham area code 4 was removed post 1958 after a factory relocation, see Page 75 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). The pistol is fitted with a .177 calibre barrel. The forward barrel block is stamped '.177 S' (calibre) & the front of the cylinder stamped with number '762'. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight. It cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. Attached to the trigger guard is the pistol’s original Webley Products label with instructions for use. The pistol is contained in its original Webley cardboard box with Webley labelling & imagery. Original 'instructions for use' are adhered to the inside of the lid which has matching number ‘762’ recorded in the serial number section. In the box is an as new condition .22 calibre Webley Senior barrel which has ‘.22 S’ calibre stamped on the forward barrel block together with a Webley labelled cardboard .177 pellet box which contains a quantity of .177 calibre lead pellets. This is an excellent increasingly rare to find Webley Mark II Target Model .177 Calibre Air Pistol with later foam lined black plastic carry case. These pistols were produced between 1925 & 1930 (See page 41 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). It has excellent undamaged metal work with all of its original finish throughout and correct straight grips with undamaged black Bakelite grips which have 'W&S' monogram cartouches. The left side of the frame is stamped serial number '13744' and with the 'Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham & London' manufacturers detail together with ‘Webley Air Pistol Mark II (Target Model)’. The right side has ‘British Patent 219872’. The front of the cylinder has matching number ‘744’. It has an adjustable rear sight & blade fore sight. The left side above the trigger has the correct safety catch feature. The pistol, cocks and fires with a strong spring action. BSA introduced their Model 240 Magnum air pistol in 1994 and production continued until 2000. The 240 magnum features a 'top lever' cocking action and has the looks of a full size military semi automatic pistol. The pistols were available in both .177 and .22 calibres. This is a near mint fully functioning example of the 240 Magnum in .177 calibre. Its metal work retains its original blue finish. It has a superb one piece walnut grip. The pistol is crisply marked by the manufacturer and is serial number APO1528 (all illustrated). The pistol has an automatic safety catch feature and telescopic sight rail along with blade foresight and adjustable rear sight. The pistol loads and fires crisply. **MINT**Boxed 1970-1973 Predom Lucznik Poland .177 calibre Air Pistol (Walther LP 53) With Accessories. Sn 23484:113 - 23484:113
Lucznik is a Polish gun factory making military weapons. In the 1970s and ’80s, they also made a single-shot pellet pistol that was that was similar in design to the famous German Walther LP53 (see page 141 of the ‘ The Collectors Guide To Air Pistols by Hiller). The Predom is a .177 calibre break barrel that cocks in an unusual way. The piston is located vertically in the pistol grip and upon firing, springs upward. Our boxed example is in near mint condition and retains all of its original blue finish. It has the correct stippled black plastic wrap around grips. The frame is crisply marked with manufacturer and model detail together with 1970 & 1973 dates (all illustrated). It loads cocks and fires crisply with a strong spring action. It is complete with its original retail cardboard box with removable lid which has its original colourful Predom labelling & imagery. The box contains a plastic bag with a quantity of .177 calibre lead pellets, original cleaning rod and original factory test target. 1946-1956, Accles & Shelvoke Ltd, Acvoke .177 Calibre Break Action Air Pistol. Sn 23484:112 - 23484:112
Accles and Shelvoke Ltd of Birmingham manufactured 'Acvoke' Air Pistols and Slaughterhouse Weapons. Acvoke .177 air pistols were produced from 1946 to 1956. It has an innovational concentric design similar to the Earlier German 'Tell II' Air pistol but on a larger more powerful scale. Before cocking the pistol a lever is swung out from the rear grip to afford mechanical advantage while the cocking manoeuvre is performed. This is a very good example of the .177 Calibre, Accles & Shelvoke Ltd break action Air Pistol. It has a pellet gauge to the loading lever and black plastic, ribbed slab grips. All metal and grips are in excellent undamaged condition with nice patina throughout. The grips are embossed with the 'Acvoke' trademark logos. The back strap / lever is stamped with 'Pellet Gauge' & has a pellet gauge hole (see Page 12 of Collectors Guide To Air Pistols by Hiller). The breech plate is correctly stamped with the manufacturer's detail 'Accles and Shelvoke Ltd, Patent Applied For, Birmingham 6 Eng ( England)'. It loads, cocks and fires crisply. This is an original boxed 1920's Webley Mark 1 .22 Calibre Air Pistol (see pages 16 to 20 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). When the Mark I air pistol was first launched onto the market, a key factor in fostering its appeal to those interested in shooting lay in the use of standard gun making materials and the techniques employed for its construction. It has undamaged metal work with even patina. It has very good wood grips with correct inlaid Webley ‘winged bullet’ roundel to the left-hand side. The cylinder is stamped serial number ‘10195’ and the cylinder has ‘Webley & Scott Ltd’ and patent markings (illustrated). It has an adjustable rear sight & blade fore sight. The left side above the trigger has the correct safety catch feature. The pistol cocks and fires with a strong spring action. The box is in good order with instructions adhered to the inside of the lid. The box contains an Original Period Webley Special Pellets Box which contains a Quantity Of .22 calibre Lead Pellets. Boxed Pre WW2 'The Webley Mark 1' .177 Calibre Air Pistol. Sn 23484:62 - 23484:62
This is an excellent, boxed, 'Webley Mark I Air Pistol'. These pistols were made pre WW2 and post war. Pre 1939 pistol barrels were smooth, without the post war ribbed barrel section and their grips were without the post war Webley embossed roundels (see pages 71 to 73 of Bruce's book Webley Air Pistols). Our pre WW2 example has undamaged metal work and retains its original blue finish. It has the correct undamaged pre war black chequered grips without embossed Webley roundels. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'Webley Air Pistol Mark I Made In England'. The left side also has the correct oil hole marked 'Oil' with arrow indicator. The frame is numbered 52587 & the front of the cylinder has matching number ‘587’. The right side of the cylinder is marked 'Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham' and has Great Britain, USA & Canada patents. It has an adjustable rear sight & the barrel strap beneath the blade fore sight is faintly stamped '.177' (calibre). The barrel’s rifled bore is clean and the barrel is correctly smooth without post war ribbed grip section. The pistol cocks and fires crisply. The pistol is contained in its original Webley labelled box which has just light surface wear and bears Webley pistol imagery. Original illustrated instructions are adhered to the inside of the lid of the box (illustrated) and the box has its original pellet box compartment with later fabricated pellet box (empty). The Webley Premier 'E' series was introduced in 1972. The 'E' Series designation was stamped on the frame near to or under the left grip together with serial number (see 119 / 120 of Webley Air Pistols By Bruce). This is an excellent example in .22 Calibre. It is undamaged and has black plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder has the correct marking 'Webley & Scott Ltd Webley Premier Made In England'. The frame under the left grip is stamped with the correct large ‘E’ (Series designation) and number 579. The front of the cylinder is stamped with matching number. It has a blade foresight & adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires as it should. The pistol is contained in its original cardboard box with Webley labelling & imagery. The box also contains original trigger adjustment instruction leaflet, spare parts address & original illustrated parts & instructions leaflet and a Webley 6 yard target.
