EXTREMELY RARE, 1890 To Early 1900's German Gem Break Action Combination Air Rifle Imported / Retailed by Arbenz Birmingham Capable of Firing Air Gun Pellets, or 32 Rim Fire Obsolete Calibre Bullets or Shot Shells. Sn 17182. - 17182
Gem Style Air rifles were produced from the 1890's to 1920. The patents for Gem Air Rifles were made out in 1894 and adverts for Gems have been seen as late as 1911 (see page 124 of A Collector's Guide to Air Rifles by Hiller). The break action of these models is performed by depression of the thumb operated lever located on top of the breech. This is an extremely rare example capable of firing .32 calibre rim fire ammunition (bullets or shot shells) & lead air gun pellets (internet resources indicate that .177 calibre air gun pellet conversion tubes were available in the period, ours is without conversion tube). C1887-1911, the New York based American inventor / gun maker Henry Marcus Quackenbush produced this type of weapon designated the Quackenbush model 5, very similar in appearance to our German made Gem (see page 188 of A Collector's Guide To Air Rifles By Hiller). Our Gem has a 17 ¾” round blued steel barrel stepped to octagonal and is just measures 35” overall length. The smoothbore has just light staining consistent with age. It has a blade fore sight, and the rear sight is a notched block which forms part of the barrel release catch. The breech has a winged manually operated extractor plate to extract 32 RF ammunition and its rim fire firing pin is present and functions as it should. Its action, cylinder tube and curved butt plate retain most of their original factory nickel plating. The original walnut shoulder stock has just light bumps and bruises to be expected. The top of the barrel is signed ‘Patent Gem No. 10937 together with crossed pistols trademark. One barrel flat is marked ‘Arbenzs Patent’ next to proof / inspection marks (A. Arbenz was a Birmingham based importer / retailer of Gem Air Rifles, see page 127 of Hiller’s book). The inside of the breech block above the pellet loading hole is stamped with faint numbers which appear to be ‘15’ ‘19’ and ‘1078’. The spring arm has matching number ‘078’. The cocking, loading & firing actions work as they should. The price for this extremely rare piece of firearms / air gun history worthy of further research. As an antique obsolete calibre combination gun, no licence is required to possess in the UK if held for collecting and display. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 17182.

*As New 11.47 ft/lbs* Air Arms Pro Sport Walnut .22 Air Rifle with an ER 4-16x44 SFIR Scope. AI 588. - AI 588
The Pro Sport by Air Arms is quite often regarded as one of the best spring-powered air rifles available today. This rifle is an under-lever, but instead of the lever being out the front of the rifle, upsetting the balance, it's neatly recessed within the stock, keeping the balance nicely proportioned. Along with this revolutionary design, the Pro Sport has the tried and tested 'CD' trigger system for a crisp and clean let-off every time. An anti-bear trap system is built into the rifle, which prevents the rifle from firing when the cocking arm is open. The mechanism inside the Air Arms Pro-Sport slides on synthetic bearing material, which reduces friction in both firing and cocking. The overall Length is 1050mm, barrel Length 243mm. The previous owner found the rifle not to their liking and it appears relatively little used (if at all) as it still has the original swing tag in place. The metalwork *small mark to the tip of the barrel* and Walnut woodwork *small mark to the left-hand side fore below screw* are very good. The pistol grip cap is marked and will be addressed before sale. The rifle comes with an as new T-Eagle ER 4-16x44 SFIR Scope. The rifles loading & firing action work crisply firing at a respectable 11.47 ft/lbs. Serial No-182177. The price for this very original air rifle and scope includes UK delivery. *Scarce Pre-WWII* Early Model Millita Original ‘V’ .177 Air Rifle by F. Langenham. 22253. - 22253
The story of Langenhan begins in 1842 Germany in the town of Mehlis, Thüringen with Valentin Friedrich Langenhan (10th June 1819 – 2nd March 1886). Valentin, who at this time was 23, along with his father, Johann Gottlieb Langenhan, 51, bought a shop in which they set up their gunsmith business. Together they produced and sold various gun parts such as flintlocks, hair-set locks, guards, caps, tools and knife blades. Johann (16th May 1791 – 15th January 1883) was a master gunmaker and personally trained his son Valentin in the art. It is said that Valentin preferred to use his second name Friedrich which is frequently seen in Langenhan company literature. Perhaps this was to differentiate himself from another Valentin Langenhan who operated an iron and steel works that was also located in Mehlis. This example being the rifled version with the under latch, it comes with the F.L.Z. trademark stamped to the air chamber and an Original V within a circle stamped to the side of the stock. The serial number is stamped to the left side of the air chamber-L37042. See page 161 of The Collectors Guide to Air Rifles by Dennis Hiller for reference. The metalwork is good with only minor age-related pitting in areas. The wooden stock and butt plate are in very nice condition also, with a nice patina. It cocks and fires perfectly with a strong spring action. The price includes UK delivery. 22253.

*Rare* c1905 The Britannia Anglo Sure Shot Mk.1 .177 Air Rifle. 22250. - 22250
The Britannia air rifle was distributed by Ramsbottom of Manchester as the Anglo Sure Shot Mark 1 around 120 years ago. The Anglo Sure Shot is rarer than a standard Britannia, making up around 35% of the surviving Britannias. Numbered 2530, which is one of the lower serial numbers and is numbers matching. This is therefore an early production model, with associated features including a ribbed trigger, shorter barrel than later models (21 inches long rather than the 23-inch later barrel). The trigger adjustment screw access hole is through the swell of the pistol grip and can therefore be accessed without the rifle having to be held open. Clearly stamped COXS PATENT C.G.BONEHILL SOLE MANUFACTURERS and Britannia Trademark. The see-saw rear sight is fully functional, and the bladed foresight is present also. The wooden stock is good with only minor age-related marks *minor damage to the front left-hand side*. See page 13 of Hillers Air Rifles for reference. The loading and firing actions work perfectly. The price includes UK delivery for this very rare rifle. 22250.

**MINT**Boxed, Post 2010, American Crosman Marlin Model LAM350 .177 BB Repeating Springer Lever Action Cowboy Air Rifle. AI 705. - AI 705
The Crosman Marlin Cowboy .177 BB Air Rifle introduced in 2010 is styled for shooters who appreciate the nostalgia of old-west Cowboy Action Shooters. The Marlin Cowboy is classic in its look and feel. It’s ideal for entry level shooters and intended to satisfy the demands of young shooters at any skill level. The innovative ratcheted, lever helps protect young shooters from the annoying lever snap-back noticed on some other lever action rifles. The ratcheted lever remains in position until it’s fully cocked, before allowing it to gently return to the stock, no matter how far it’s cocked. This BB air rifle is both lightweight and dependable, making it the right choice for developing lifelong shooting, marksmanship skills and for teaching safety. The Marlin Cowboy features a stamped, all-metal receiver and a finely finished hardwood stock and forearm. The BB rifles come with a front blade and an adjustable, notched rear sight. The reservoir holds up to 700 BB’s, allowing for more shooting and less time reloading. The Marlin Cowboy is ideal for plinking and target shooting. Our example is in near mint condition, fully functioning with an undamaged wood stock and all its original blue finish. The action has model and manufacturer information together with safety warning instructions. An easily accessible side port on the muzzle end of the barrel allows easy loading of BB’s. The overall length of the rifle is 35 ½”. The rifle comes with its original colourful retail cardboard box with Wild West scenery and rifle imagery. The box contains the rifle’s illustrated instruction pamphlet. The price includes UK delivery. *Mint/Boxed with Original Accessories* 1977-1983 BSA Buccaneer .22 Air Rifle. 20133. - 20133
The BSA Buccaneer is a break barrel spring powered air rifle first produced in 1977 by the Birmingham Small Arms Company, manufactured in both .177 (4.5 mm) and .22 (5.5 mm) calibres and marketed as an introduction air rifle for younger shooters with a muzzle energy of 5.5 ft•lb. The rifle has a safety catch, which is disengaged by operation of a lever next to the shooter's thumb. The rifle shared the action of the BSA Scorpion Air Pistol, barrel from a BSA Meteor Air Rifle and a brown plastic stock designed for right-hand shooters. The spring and piston are compressed by breaking the 18” barrel 125° before loading a pellet directly into the breach. The barrel is then returned into place and secured with a detent lock. The rifle has a peep sight at the rear of the cylinder, rather than the normal position on the breechblock. The moulded stock is in near perfect condition and the metal work is in as equally good condition. There is a shrouded front sight to compliment the rear, the serial No is ‘DA02795’. The rifle comes in its original cardboard box with polystyrene insert. The original accessories are included: BSA oil, Cocking aid, metal target holder with targets and owners maintenance sheet. The rifles loading & firing action work crisply. The price for this very original air rifle and accessories includes UK delivery.
