Post 2007 BSA Comet .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle With Black Synthetic Stock. Sn 14332. - 14332
Production of the BSA Comet began in 2007. This is an excellent example. The rifle has a 17 ½” rifled barrel and measures 42 ½” overall. It has an undamaged black synthetic stock with rubber recoil pad. The metal work retains all of its original blueing and the top of the Air cylinder is grooved for telescopic sight. The cylinder has model detail ‘BSA Comet’. The barrel block is marked with model and calibre detail. The rifle cocks loads and fires with a nice tight action-9.96 ft/lb. It has a Hi Visibility blade fore sight and adjustable rear sight. The price includes UK delivery. 1905-1914. B.S.A. Improved Model D, .177 Calibre Underlever Air Rifle Pistol Grip Stock Variant . AI 692. - AI 692
This is a very good original BSA Improved Model D Air Rifle. These rifles were made with both straight hand and pistol grip stocks and in different variations between 1905 and 1914 (see pages 20- 25 of the book ‘A Collectors Guide To Air Rifles’ By Hiller). This example has its original pistol grip wood stock with correct chequered panels on the grip. The stock has a steel butt plate. The cocking arm has a ribbed release lever on the left side. It has a 17” rifled barrel and measures 38½” overall. It has a blade foresight and adjustable dial rear sight. The metal work has even patina throughout. The air cylinder has crisp BSA Improved Model D detail (illustrated). The left side of the weapon bears the serial number 63837. 638 is repeated on the underside of the barrel. The loading port area is marked ‘Load’ and has the BSA piled arms logo. The loading tap has patent detail ‘Patent 8246/06’ and underside of the cocking lever ‘BSA Patents 8761-04 25783-10 RD479972’. 1919-1922 Early B.S.A. Standard No. 1 Model (Aka 'L' or Light/ Ladies Model) .177 Calibre Under Lever Air Rifle with 14 ¼” Stock. AI 749 - AI 749
This is an excellent B.S.A. Standard No. 1 Model 177 calibre, under lever air rifle. Also known as the 'L' or Ladies/ Light model it measures 39 ½” overall with a 17" rifled barrel. Its original wood stock has chequered panels at the pistol grip *nick to the top*. It has a ribbed butt with trap. The underside of the stock is impressed ’14 ¼’ (inches). The rifle has a pinched blade fore sight and adjustable dial rear sight. The metal work is undamaged with much of the original blue finish and is crisply stamped with the correct 'L' prefix serial number on the trigger block 'L20669' which dates it to 1920 (See page 114 of The book of BSA air rifle by John Milewski). *Bespoke Case* Early-Post 1975 Webley Osprey .22 Caliber Side Lever Air Rifle with Original Instruction Manual/Tools. 21533. - 21533
Webley Osprey Air Rifles were introduced in 1975 and manufactured by Webley & Scott at Frankley Industrial Park, Birmingham until 1984. (see page 246 of Hiller's book The Collector's Guide To Air Rifles). The most notable innovation on the Osprey is a sidelever for cocking the rifle. Mounted on the right hand side of the gun, the lever is slim and does not detract from the lines. The end has a push in catch which engages upon a stud fixed to the cylinder, and during the cocking procedure a ratchet mechanism is engaged which ensures complete safety should the lever be accidentally released during the cocking sequence. This is a very good example in .22 calibre. It is 110 cm overall with a 47 cm barrel. It has a shrouded blade fore sight, adjustable rear sight and is side lever loading. With its noticeably thicker barrel giving it a ‘bull barrel’ appearance. It has good metalwork throughout with all original finish and only minor signs of age. The wood work is very good also with minor signs of use *see images*. The stock has a Webley signature rubber recoil pad. The cylinder housing is stamped with .22 Calibre details and serial number '02730'. The top of the cylinder is grooved for telescopic sight. Between the grooves is deeply stamped & highlighted 'Webley Osprey'. The bespoke wooden box is complete with its original polystyrene insert, original alan keys and instruction/care manual. The rifle cocks, loads fires with a strong spring action firing at 10.9 ft/lb. The price for this excellent bespoke boxed rifle includes UK delivery. 1969-1973 B.S.A Super Meteor .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle 'TE' Prefix Serial Number. Sn 10791. - 10791
Birmingham Small Arms introduced the Super Meteor Air rifle in 1966. The small frame rifle is 42" overall with a 18 ½ " barrel. This is an excellent example in .22 Calibre. It has an undamaged wood stock with grooved butt end. The wood has just a couple of light scuffs. The metal work is undamaged and retains most of its original blueing there are a few light scratches on the cylinder and usage wear to the finish at the left side of the barrel block. It has a block and blade fore sight and adjustable target rear sight. The top of the cylinder forward of its 2 scope grooves is crisply marked 'BSA Meteor'. The rifle's serial number 'TE70781' is stamped on the underside of the barrel block. The 'TE' prefix serial number dates the rifle to between 1969 and 1973 (See page 44 of The Collector's Guide to Air Rifles By Hiller). The barrel's bore is clean with crisp rifling and it cocks and fires as it should with a strong spring action (10.86 ft/lbs). The price includes UK delivery. C1920’s Wyandotte ‘All Metal Products’ Pump Cork Ball Rifle Toy Gun. AI 737. - AI 737
All Metal Products Company was an American toy company founded in 1920 and based in Wyandotte, Michigan for most of its history. It produced inexpensive pressed metal toys under the Wyandotte brand name, and was the largest manufacturer of toy guns in the US for several decades in the 20th century. The company's slogan was "Wyandotte Toys are Good and Safe." To keep costs down, the company used scrap and surplus raw materials whenever possible, often manufacturing their toys from scrap metal obtained from local auto factories. Initially, All Metal Products Company specialized in toy guns, including pop guns, water pistols, and air rifles. Their slogan in the 1920s was "Every Boy Wants a Pop Gun." By 1927 they had become the world's largest manufacturer of toy guns. Wyandotte Toys stopped manufacturing air rifles in 1929, but continued to dominate the toy gun market throughout the remainder of their history by producing pop guns, clicker pistols, dart guns and pistols, cap guns and a variety of plastic pistols. Wyandotte c1920s All Metal Products Co. pump action five shoot spring-loading feed cork ball toy rifle gun. You can find this rare and unusual pump action gun that shoots round cork balls listed in Jim Schleyer Backyard Buckaroos Collecting Western Toy Guns book on page 343 - P44. Chamber can hold 5 5/8" cork balls which will feed automatically with each pump of the rifle. You need to pull back hard to cock the rifle. The rifle is black metal *showing age related wear in parts* with wood stock and 34” long. RARE Matching Numbers (A 502) 1932-1934 1st Type Webley Service MK II .22 Calibre Air Rifle With All Correct 1st Type Features. Sn 15286. - 15286
This is an excellent original early 1930’s 1st Type Webley Service Mark II Air Rifle in .22 Calibre. These rifles also known as the 'Spring Clip Service' due to the flat spring barrel retention clip were introduced in 1932 and produced until introduction of the 2nd Type MK II C1934 (See Chapter 2 of Thrale's book Webley Air Rifles 1925-2005). The trigger guard of the rifle is stamped with serial number ‘S 502’. The weapon is stamped with Patent & model detail, the Webley ‘winged bullet’ logo and Webley address. The barrel is stamped '.22 Calibre'. It has its original undamaged wood stock with chequered wrist & ribbed horn butt plate. It has it's original correct 1st type, flat spring retaining catch, 2 leaf folding sight, 1st type flip up rear sight, safety catch and has a ramp blade fore sight. 1922-1929 BSA Standard No2 Pattern 2nd Series (S Pre-Fix) .22 Air Rifle. AI 724. - AI 724
The serial No S25202 dates this rifle to circa: 1922-29. When mention is made of the BSA Standard No1 and Standard No2 spring to mind., but it should be remembered that BSA referred to their full length .177 and .22 air rifles as the standard. In 1907 BSA used the term ‘ordinary pattern’ to differentiate the full length .177 from the light pattern, and by 1909 the company was calling the full length rifles the standard pattern. This example is in fine condition with some blueing missing to expose the nice metalwork. It has the usual BSA wording to the metalwork. The wooden stock is in very nice condition with an unusual tiger stripe, it has no notable marks and is the correct pre WWII item. The rifle cocks, loads and fires as it should. The Weihrauch name has been associated with solid build quality and reliability for many years. Introduced in the 1990’s the HW90 transformed the hunting rifle market. The air rifles were available as the HW90 (full size) and HW90K with shorter barrel. This is an excellent Weihrauch HW90 in .22 calibre. The rifle has a 19 ¾” barrel and measures 45 ¾” overall. It has excellent woodwork and rubber shoulder recoil pad. The metal work retains all of its original blueing. It has target sights & the top of the air cylinder is grooved for telescopic sight. The barrel block is marked with model and calibre detail (illustrated in image 2). The underside of barrel has serial number 1212572 and the barrel is marked by HW’s official UK importer ‘Hull Cartridge’. The rifle cocks loads and fires with a nice tight action. The rifle is powerful, tested at 10.03 Ft Lbs close to the UK legal limit of 12 Ft Lbs. The price includes UK delivery.
