MINT, 1962-1966 B.S.A Meteor MK II .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle 'TA' Prefix Serial Number. AI 660 - AI 660
Birmingham Small Arms introduced the Meteor Air rifle in both .177 & .22 calibre in 1959. MK 1 rifles were produced until 1962 when the MK II model was introduced. MK II production continued until 1968. The small frame rifle is 41 ½” overall with an 18" barrel. This is a near mint example of the MK II Meteor in .22 Calibre. It has a mint undamaged light coloured wood stock with grooved butt end. The metal work is undamaged and retains all of its original blueing. It has a block and blade fore sight. The top of the adjustable rear sight is stamped with the BSA piled arms logo and the top of the cylinder forward of its 2 raised scope mounts is crisply marked 'BSA Meteor' with stylised arrow logo. The rifle's serial number 'TA27572' is stamped on the underside of the barrel block. The 'TA' prefix serial number dates the rifle to between 1962 and 1966 (see page 39 of Collector's Guide to Air Rifles By Hiller). The top of the barrel is stamped ‘BSA Guns Ltd England’ together with ‘.22 Cal’ and BSA piled arms logo. The barrel's bore is clean with crisp rifling and it cocks and fires as it should with a strong spring action. The price includes UK delivery. 1930's Pre-War German Militia .177 Calibre, Break Action Air Rifle Sn 15287 - 15287
This good .177 calibre German Militia air rifle was made a variety of German manufacturer's in the 1930's on the run up to WW2. It has all original metal with even patina & woodwork which has just the knocks bumps and bruises to be expected with age and use. This air rifle has no manufacturer or model marks but has a distinctive breech locking catch which is similar to the one used on the British Greener air rifle. The weapon fires with a strong spring action. It has a 19 ½” barrel and measures 43” overall length. The barrel and air cylinder have matching numbers ‘1104/04’ It has a blade foresight, adjustable rear sight &, steel butt plate. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 15287

1925 B.S.A. Standard No. 1 Model (Aka 'L' Or Light/ Ladies Model) .177 Calibre Under Lever Air Rifle. Sn 14944 - 14944
This is an excellent B.S.A. Standard No. 1 Model 177 calibre, under lever air rifle. Also known as the 'L' or Ladies/ Light model it measures 39 ½” overall with a 17" rifled barrel. It’s original wood stock has chequered panels at the pistol grip and has just the bumps and bruises to be expected with age and use. It has a ribbed butt with trap. The rifle has a blade fore sight and adjustable dial rear sight. The metal work is undamaged with original blue finish and is crisply stamped with the correct 'L' prefix serial number on the trigger block 'L26443' which dates it to 1925 (see page 27 of the Collectors Guide to Air Rifles By Hiller). RARE, 1930's Webley Service MK II 2nd Series/ Type .22 Calibre Air Rifle With Safety Catch & 1st Type Flip Up Aperture Sight. Sn 14943 - 14943
An excellent condition, 1930's, Webley Service MK II 2nd Series/ Type, air rifle in .22 calibre (see pages 32-37 of Christopher Thrale's book Webley Air Rifles 1925-2005). The Left side of the cylinder is stamped 'WEBLEY SERVICE AIR RIFLE MK II". 'MANUFACTURED BY WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND and with the Webley 'winged pellet logo'. The barrel is stamped '.22 CALIBRE' It has the Great Britain, USA, Spain, Germany and Canada 1925 patents stamped on the Right Side of the cylinder together with the correct patent Number '371548'. The rifle is fitted with a 1st type flip up adjustable aperture sight and has the rare to find safety catch feature on the right side of the frame. It has an excellent stock with chequered panel neck and ribbed horn butt plate which has a few small chips. The weapon is serial number 'S1282' which is stamped to the rear of the trigger guard. An excellent condition B.S.A, MK VI Airsporter, .22 Calibre Air Rifle. It is serial number GL 23003 which identifies it as a MK VI and dates it to between 1974 and 1983 (see Page 56 of Hiller’s Book 'A Collectors Guide to Air Rifles'). The wood stock with rubber embossed BSA logo recoil pad and metal work are in excellent undamaged condition. The top of the air chamber is correctly marked with the ‘B.S.A. Airsporter' gold coloured electroplated legend and is grooved for telescopic sight. The top of the barrel is crisply stamped with 'B.S.A. Guns Ltd, England .22 Cal' and with the B.S.A 'stacked rifles' logo. It is under lever cocking and has an adjustable rear sight. Post 2007 BSA Comet .22 Calibre Break Action Air Rifle With Black Synthetic Stock. Sn 14332 - 14332
Production of the BSA Comet began in 2007. This is an excellent example. The rifle has a 17 ½” rifled barrel and measures 42 ½” overall. It has an undamaged black synthetic stock with rubber recoil pad. The metal work retains all of its original blueing and the top of the Air cylinder is grooved for telescopic sight. The cylinder has model detail ‘BSA Comet’. The barrel block is marked with model and calibre detail. The rifle cocks loads and fires with a nice tight action.
