Canadian WW1 Ross Mk II Bayonet And Scabbard. BAYO 586 - BAYO 586
This is a Mk II Ross bayonet with a modified blade profile. This modification was authorised in October 1915 to give better penetration over the more rounded original blade shape tip. The pommel carries the Canadian Government ownership mark of an arrow within a Capital C, the Ross factory inspection mark of a crown over 4 and the date of manufacture 1/16 (January 1916). The other side carries Ross Rifle Co. Quebec Patented 1907. The grips carry feint Ross factory inspection mark and one grip has A246 1 17 and R stamped into it. The spine of the tang also carries 2 Ross factory inspection stamps. The scabbard is the Mk II version with a wider belt loop and internal locket and chape. WW1 Scarce Canadian Marked Wilkinson 1907 Pattern Bayonet & Scabbard. BAYO 580 - BAYO 582
This is a scarce Canadian marked marked WW1 production P1907 bayonet by Wilkinson. The blade carries the crown over G.R. and 1907 followed by 8 18 (August 1918) and Wilkinson. The other side of the blade carries the broad arrow. The pommel carries the Canadian acceptance stamp of a broad arrow within a C. The wooden grips are wood held by 2 screw bolts. The Canadians used the Ross rifle at the start of the war bt due to accidents and failures under battlefield conditions it was withdrawn and replaced by the S.M.L.E rifle. This is a P1907 bayonet used by the Canadians towards the end of the war. Canadian bayonets are scarce and do not turn up often of the collectors market. The price includes U.K. delivery. BAYO 580

WW1 Imperial German Ersatz Bayonet. BAYO 571 - BAYO 571
This is a scarce model of a German Ersatz bayonet with an extended muzzle ring. Ersatz bayonets usually have no muzzle ring or just a rudimentary ‘ears’ type configuration. This bayonet is similar to item 311 in The Bayonet Book by Watts &Watts and will only fit the Belgian Mauser M1889 rifle. The grip also appears to be the same shape as the Belgian model. British 1876 Pattern Socket Bayonet and Scabbard For The Martini Henry Rifle. BAYO 561 - BAYO 561
This is a Pattern 1876 socket bayonet for the Martini Henry rifle. There are no visible markings to the blade or socket but there is a clear W.D. arrow over an inspection stamp on the chape of the scabbard. on the blade. The bayonet measures 25.1" overall with a blade length of 21.7" and the socket 3". The scabbard is the Mk II version with 2 rivets in the scabbard. French M 1874 Gras Sword Bayonet And Scabbard. BAYO 559 - BAYO 559
This is a French M 1874 Grass bayonet with a T section blade which was suitable only for thrusting. The back edge of the blade carries the place of manufacture and date which is ST ETIENNE 1877. The bayonet has a brass pommel, wooden grips and a steel crossguard with a downswept quillon. The scabbard is black steel with no dents. The scabbard has in some point in its life been painted with cream painted bands which could be easily removed. See White and Watts number 201 on page 84 and 94. The price includes UK delivery. WW1 1916 Dated Imperial German Durkopp Werke Model 1898/05 G98 Mauser Butcher Bayonet And Steel Scabbard. BAYO 556 - BAYO 556
Durkopp Werke A.G were well established makers of sewing machines, Bicycles, cars & lorries before WW1. The Company’s distinctive trademark includes their company name & large ‘D’ enclosing a factory. They were producing bayonets in 1916 & 1917 some of which are dated & others as with our example are without date. Durkopp Werke made their own bayonets and finished blades by other manufacturers, notably Rich.A.Herder and F Koeller and Co. there is a feint Solingen mark on the left side of the blade which would suggest this was a blade made else where and finished by Durkopp Werke. This is a nice WW1 era Imperial German Model 1898/05 G98 Mauser Butcher bayonet by Durkopp. The back edge of the 14 ½” butcher blade has indistinct inspection marks and a 1916 date. The blade has just light staining consistent with age and is crisply marked with the Durkopp manufacturer name and trademark. The grooved wood grips are original and un-damaged. The steel scabbard is also original and in good order with just a couple of very minor dents to be expected. The price for this bayonet and scabbard includes UK delivery. BAYO 556

Volunteer Pattern 1888 Lee Metford Bayonet And Scabbard. BAYO 550 - BAYO 550
This is a Volunteer Lee Metford, 1888 bayonet and scabbard for the British .303 calibre Enfield, Lee Metford Rifle. The grips are made of wood, held together with two brass and steel rivets. There is on oil clearance hole in both of the grips or the pommel. The Bayonet blade which is in good clean condition, 12" in length, double edged and unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The scabbard is the standard pattern 1888 mark 1 and has the number 1676 stamped onto the frog stud. See Skennerton item B216 page 170 and 171. Price includes UK delivery. BAYO 550 (Box 3)

This is a German WW1, 1915 dated Model 1898/05 G98 Mauser 'Butcher Knife' bayonet by V.C. SCHILLING SUHL. The ricasso is stamped V.C. SCHILLING SUHL and the top of the blade is stamped W15 (1915 date) and a stylised M acceptance stamp. The hilt is stamped with two acceptance marks as is one stamped to the release button. The top of the grip has the later flash guard and a trimmed muzzle ring. The grips are undamaged. The bayonet is contained in its original steel scabbard. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 542
