Nazi M98 Dress Bayonet By A Scarce Maker Gustav Spitzer, Solingen & Scabbard. Bayo 90 - Bayo 90
An early Nazi M98 dress bayonet by a Scarce maker, Gustav Spitzer and scabbard. The dress sidearm for military and civilian uniformed formations was designated the M98 Dress Bayonet. This bayonet represented a stylised form of the S. 84/98 bayonet purchased by the individual for wear with the walkout dress uniform and was worn by the mainly non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel. This dress bayonet has a rifle mortise and push button release. It retains the red felt in the mortise slot. This is the long version with a 9 3/4" blade. It has "C Gustav Spitzer Solingen" stamped into the ricasso. The polished steel blade is in excellent condition. The grips are chequered and secured with two rivets. An early Nazi M98 dress bayonet by Robert Klaas and scabbard. The dress sidearm for military and civilian uniformed formations was designated the M98 Dress Bayonet. This bayonet represented a stylised form of the S. 84/98 bayonet purchased by the individual for wear with the walkout dress uniform and was worn by the mainly non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel. An early Nazi M98 dress bayonet and scabbard. The dress sidearm for military and civilian uniformed formations was designated the M98 Dress Bayonet. German Model 1898/05 G98 Mauser 'Butcher' Bayonet By Joint Makers Henckels & Anker-Werke Bielefeld, Complete with Steel Scabbard. Bayo 61 - Bayo 61
A 1917 German Model 1898/05 G98 Mauser 'Butcher' bayonet. This is a very nice condition original Imperial German Pattern 1898/05 'butcher' bayonet and scabbard for the Gew. 98 Mauser Rifle. This is the later model with a trimmed muzzle ring and fitted with a flash guard. It has the scarce makers mark of Anker-Werke Bielefeld on one side of the ricasso and the twins of J.A. Henckel's on the other. According to Anthony Carter in his book, 'German Bayonets' the models 98/02 and 98/05, the two makers worked in conjunction with each other and that Henckel's sent blades to Anker-Werke to be finished. This bayonet also has the crown over "W17" on the back edge of the blade. This is referred to by Carter in his book as being the only example with a date and both trademarks. The blade is clean and the grips are the original 9 grooves and show normal use marks. The steel scabbard is also original and in good order with just a couple of very minor dents as to be expected. An original, excellent, example of a WW1 German Ersatz M88/98 bayonet with solid steel hilt. It has a half hoop, one piece stepped muzzle ring. (see page 143 & 153, No. 338 of The Bayonet Book by Watts & White). It has a 12 1/4" fullered blade which has just light staining consistent with age and is complete with it's original steel scabbard. The throat of the scabbard has a fixed locket and oval frog stud. A WW1 German M88/98 Ersatz bayonet and steel scabbard (see item 338, page 153 of The Bayonet Book By White & Watts). The all steel construction bayonet has a polished steel single edged blade with sharpened back edge point & central fuller. The blade measures 12” in length. It has a steel one piece cross guard with open muzzle ring. The back of the blade has a small inspection mark. The steel pressed steel grip has an oil hole near to the cross guard. It has a push button bayonet release which works correctly. The grip retains some original green paint. It is complete with its steel scabbard which has a tear drop frog stud. Post WW2 German Eickhorn Commercial M16 knife Bayonet With Wire Cutter & Scabbard. BAYO 8 - BAYO 8
This is an excellent Post WW2 German Made Commercial M16 Assault Rifle bayonet With Wire Cutter & Scabbard. There are no makers marks on this knife but most of these bayonets were German made by Eickhorn, Solingen. These bayonets fit M16 Assault rifles and many other modern rifles. It has a broad black ribbed grip and short steel crossguard with muzzle ring. It has a 7" Bowie type blade with sawback (overall 12"). The blade is slotted for wire cutter attachment which is present on it's original blacked scabbard with integral webbing frog (The wire cutting action works perfectly). The frog has a belt loop with retaining strap, stud fastener and steel belt hanger. The base of the scabbard is fitted with green thigh cord. Price includes UK delivery. BAYO 8

UNAVAILABLE 01/08 Imperial German WW1 Mauser 98/05 'Butcher Bayonet' Double Marked By Hartkopf Manufacturer & Dietrich Retailer & Scabbard. ED 2309 - ED 2309
An original German WW1 Mauser 98/05 'Butcher Bayonet'. The bayonet has 9 groove wooden grips which are secured with two bolts. The hilt has a flash guard to prevent damage when firing. It has a push button spring release which operates as it should. The crossguard has no muzzle ring. The The single edged polished steel blade has a maker's stamp on the ricasso " Gebr, Hartkopf Solingen" and on the reverse a retailer's mark "O.Dietrich Altenburg" The blade measures 14 1/2" long, it gradually widens from being 1" wide at the ricasso to just over 1 1/4" wide at it's widest point. The back edge of the blade is stamped with a partially visible Imperial inspection mark. It's original black painted metal scabbard is excellent and undamaged. A Prussian Dreyse Socket bayonet with a unique locking spring designed by Johan Christian Wilken Kyhl (Danish). It was first introduced in 1794. The Kyhl spring catch was used on Danish bayonets from 1794-1860 and was also used by Norwegian and Prussian makers. The bayonet overall length is 508mm, blade length is 400mm and the muzzle ring is 25mm. The muzzle ring is stamped with faint partially unreadable marks (illustrated). The price includes UK delivery. Austrian Socket Bayonet for the 1854 Lorenz rifle 1854-1867 - 8424:60
An original Austrian socket bayonet for the 1854 Lorenz rifle 1854-1867. The bayonet is a cruciform socket bayonet (no. 17) which is distinquished by the helical locking slot as can be seen in one of the photographs. many of the bayonets were exported to the United States during the American Civil War. The blade measures 18" and the bayonet measures 22" overall. The socket measures 80mm and has an inside diameter of 22mm. The socket has a rotating locking ring which has a screw adjuster. The cruciform blade is in very good condition. On the ricasso there is a small manufacturers proof mark. On the elbow it is stamped with "26 490" and what looks to be "J5" The socket has helical slot. The bayonet has no scabbard. The price includes Uk delivery.
