**RESERVED**5/10**1960's British Named T.C. Wilde Siebe Gorman & Co Royal Navy Diver's Knife & Brass Scabbard Personally Adapted With Additional Brass Belt Bars. Sn 19966:47 - 19966:47
This is an original, excellent condition, 1960's, British Royal Navy Diver's Knife and Scabbard. Made by Siebe Gorman & Co, the knife has a broad 7 ¾” long double edged blade with medial ridge (13 ¼” overall). The blade is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'Siebe Gorman & Co'. The blade has areas of staining and has a fine saw back edge. It has a brass cross guard, ferrule stamped with initials ‘T.C.W’ & tang nut fitted with large brass lanyard ring. It has a dense black plastic contoured grooved handle. The knife is complete with original solid brass scabbard with belt slot. The scabbard is named ‘T.C. Wilde’ matching the ferrule initials, no doubt a previous owner’s name. The scabbard has been personally adapted at some point in its life by welding additional brass belt bars to the rear. Victorian Italian Hunting Style Dagger with Etched blade and Polished Buffalo Horn Grips. 19917:9. - 19917:9
The stiletto blade is 14 cm in length (25 ¾ cm overall) and is etched to both sides. The brass coloured curved cross guard is below a carved polished Buffalo horn grip which is below a brass coloured pommel. The dark leather scabbard has brass coloured metalwork with the chape showing age related wear. There is an open hook for attachment to a pocket or belt to the rear. *Scarce* WWI Austro-Hungarian Empire ‘Grabendolch’ M1917 Fighting Knife by Maker ‘Joachim Winternitz Neffe’ and Sheath. 19967. - 19967
A WWI Austrian Trench Knife with an un-fullered 20 ¾ cm (33 cm overall) tapering blade with spear-shaped point which is very good and only showing minor signs of wear. The makers mark is on one side of the ricasso which is a kneeling man with bow and arrow which is the ‘Joachim Winternitz Neffe’ trademark. There is a short false edge in the top of the blade. The knife has a small elliptical crossguard, and smooth round undamaged wooden grips secured with three rivets. It is accompanied with a simple smooth metal scabbard, which has a metal loop which is riveted above a metal stud onto one side that has a thick brown leather band that acts as a belt loop. A private purchase German WWI trench knife (a trench knife is a combat knife designed to kill or incapacitate an enemy at close quarters, such as in a trench or other confined area. It was developed as a close combat weapon for soldiers attacking enemy trenches during the First World War) with a stunning horn grip and ‘S’ shaped quillon above ferrule and below pommel which appear to be German silver, as do the scabbard mounts on the leather scabbard. **CASED**MINT**RARE**C1948 2 PANEL VERSION**Wilkinson Sword, ‘Hand Forged By Tom Beasley The Famous Sword Smith’ Fairbairn Sykes FS Fighting Knife With Correct 2 Etched & Blued Panels Hand Drawn Blade. Sn 19917:8 - 19917:8
Tom Beasley was Wilkinson Sword's master Swordsmith. One of his outstanding creations was the blade for the sword which Britain presented to the people of the City of Stalingrad in commemoration of the City's defence against the Nazis. Tom Beasley knives are sought after. 3 panel version etchings 'Hand Forged by Tom Beasley The Famous Sword Smith Of Stalingrad Fame' and 2 panel versions without the panel referencing Stalingrad were made. The 2 panel versions the same as our example were made C1948. They are thought to be advertising & private purchase pieces for Wilkinson sword who undertook a sales drive in the early post war years (see page 182 & 183 of The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives by Flook). This is a near mint original hand drawn Tom Beasley FS Knife. Its 166mm long steel blade with medial ridge is clean and correctly crisply etched & blued on both sides. One side has a 2 panel banner etched 'Hand Forged by Tom Beasley The Famous Sword Smith’. The reverse is etched with decorative panels containing 'Wilkinson Sword, London' name and crossed swords legend together Royal Appointment. Also 'Commando Fighting Knife World War 1939-45'. The orange / brown hue Ivorine handle is undamaged and it has an oval blued steel cross guard. The dagger is contained in its later wooden case with hinged lid all covered in red leatherette material. The case has clasp fasteners. The inside of the case is lined in cushioned red felt & is contoured to snugly fit the dagger. The price for this excellent piece includes UK delivery. Sn 19917:8

WW2 Chindit, Special Forces, Far East/ Burma Kukri Type Fighting Knife Marked 'Burma 12 (M) EB' & Scabbard. Sn 9175. - Sn 9175
The Chindits – officially in 1943 designated the 77th Indian Infantry Brigade and in 1944, the 3rd Indian Infantry Division were a British "Special Force" that served in Burma and India in 1943 and 1944 during the Burma Campaign in WW2. This is an original fighting/ survival knife with Kukri type blade carried by Chindit troops in Burma. It is similar to those illustrated on page 12 of British & Commonwealth Military knives by Flook. It has a broad 9 3/4" long curved kukri type blade which tapers to a sharp point. It measures 14" overall and has a brass cross guard and slab bone grips secured by 3 brass rivets. The cross guard is contemporarily punch marked '12 (M) EB' on one side and the reverse 'BURMA'. The scabbard is made of heavy duty leather, stitched along the seams and it has a large single belt loop. The scabbard has a small single retaining strap fitted to the body. The brass buckle of the strap is present & secure but the buckle is missing it's pin, & part of the leather tongue of the strap is absent. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 9175. This is a near mint, scarce pattern Middleton knife. It has a pristine 7” polished steel spear point dagger blade with medial ridge. The knife measures 11 ½” overall length. The blade is stamped ‘J.E Middleton & Sons Rockingham Street Sheffield’. It has a brass coloured finger guard. The brass coloured hilt has an ornate feather designed pommel. It is complete with its brown leather open top scabbard with brass riveted belt loop. An American Post WW2 private purchase Military Fighting Knife. (see page 120 item 609 of Fighting Knives By Stephens). This knife by an unknown manufacturerer has black synthetic grips secured to the tang by 3 rivets. The ferrule and cross guard are made of brass. This rugged knife has a 6" Bowie type blade which is clean and 11 ½ “wide. It measures 12" overall and is complete with a later proffesionally made scabbard made of thick black leather. A Victorian cutlery handled, spear pointed Bowie knife "Battle Axe" trade marked and complete with original brown leather scabbard. The knife has a typical victorian era polished steel cutlery handle decorated with ornate scrolls. It has a thin steel, oval shaped crossguard. The blade is polished steel with a single edge and 'spear pointed'. The blade measures 6 ½ " and the knife measures 11 ½ " overall. The blade is 1 ¼ " wide. The blade has the trade mark "Battle Axe" stamped into one side of the blade as can be seen in one of the photographs. The knife is in excellent condition. *Rare* Italian Fighting Knife ‘Assaltatori' Assault Troops (FAT 58). ED 2668. - ED 2668
This is a rare and interesting Italian fighting knife better known as pugnale da assaltatori 58 San Marco, alluding to a famous elite unit that used it. .This is the model 1958 knife for assault troops. It bears much resemblance with both the Italian WWII fighting knives and Mannlicher-Carcano bayonets. The blade was made in 1958 in the army factory in Torino. The blade and wooden grips are in very good condition. The grips are held with two screw bolts and have the number ‘20’ painted to one side. The pommel has ‘15810’ crisply imprinted to it. The steel covered slab is still wearing some of its olive drab covering. A very collectable knife. The price includes UK delivery. ED 2668. (Fighting Knives)
