SCARCE, British L59A1 (No.4 SMLE) .303 Calibre Drill/ Instructional Rifle With Sectioned Inspection Ports & Original Webbing Sling **UK / EU DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED**D 1491 - D 1491
After WW2, some No. 4 Enfields were converted to non-firing Drill Purpose rifles and were issued a new model designation ‘L59A1’. Most of the L59A1 rifles that have been available to collectors have been in very poor condition due to their drill use however this rifle is in excellent condition. The all original wood is undamaged. It is crisply marked with the model designation at the breech (illustrated) and is fitted with original webbing sling. It has the correct winged fore sight, flip up ladder rear sight & the brass butt plate has the correct trap. It is serial number ‘8651’. This example has small red highlighted sectional cut out inspection ports on the left and right sides of the action, only visible on close inspection. The L59A1 makes an excellent demonstration rifle. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2020 the rifle’s bolt and trigger move and the magazine can be removed. Also known as the "Zouave Rifle," the.58 calibre muzzle loading 1863 Remington was referred to as "Harpers Ferry Pattern" in official Army documents. These rifles were issued to Zouave Light Infantry Regiments of the U.S army during the civil war, named, so as their uniforms were fashioned on those of Colonial North African French troops. The Remington design lives on today in live firing firearms of Italian manufacturer’s such as Zoli. This is an excellent Zouave rifle made in the modern era by Zoli.. It has an undamaged stock with hinged patch box and blued metal work. It measures 49” overall with a 33" barrel. The barrel has the Italian manufacturer’s details. The weapon has brass furniture, block & blade fore sight and flip up 2 leaf rear sight, heavy hammer, ram rod & sling swivels fitted with leather sling. The action plate is crisply marked with the American Eagle mark. It is serial number 34529. Deactivated to early UK/EU specification in 2018 the rifle cocks and dry fires. The weapon comes with a brass hilt bayonet which has a clean 20” long steel blade with fullers. The scabbard is leather with brass mounts. Its black Bakelite ribbed grips are undamaged & have 5 pointed star embossed roundels. The butt is holed for lanyard ring. The pistol has fixed fore & rear sights and military ring hammer. Please contact for details and prices. *** The Beretta model 1934 is a compact, semi-automatic pistol which was issued as a standard service firearm to the Italian armed forces beginning in 1934. It is chambered for the 9 mm Corto, more commonly known as the .380 ACP. This is a nice original example. It has the correct Beretta monogramed grips which are undamaged and the metal has its original finish with nice patina throughout. The butt is fitted with Military lanyard bar and the weapon cocks & dry fires perfectly. The right side of the slide & frame are stamped with matching serial numbers '781272'. Please contact for details and prices. ***The Repeating Rifle Model M1895, better known as the Mannlicher M1895 rifle is a bolt-action rifle, designed by Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher. The M1895 is unusual in employing a straight-pull bolt action, as opposed to the more common rotating bolt-handle of other rifles. It was consequently renowned for combining a high rate of fire (around 30–35 rounds per minute) with reliability and sturdiness. This is an original M95 Steyr straight pull bolt action Rifle. These weapons were used throughout WW1 and into the 1930’s. When the Nazi's came to power many M1895 rifles and carbines were given to Bulgarian Units. The wood furniture of this weapon is in good condition as is the metal work which has even patina throughout. The breech is stamped ‘Steyr M.95’. It has bayonet bar/ lug, sling swivels, steel butt plate, block and blade fore sight and ladder rear sight. The rifle is fitted with an original leather sling. The weapon strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. It is complete with an original M95 bayonet. The bayonet has a 9 ¾” single edged blade with fuller. The clean blade is marked at the ricasso with the combined 'OEWG' (Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft 'Austrian Arms-Manufacturing Company') Steyr mark. The reverse is stamped with inspection mark. Its steel cross guard is stamped '03'. Its slab wood grips are undamaged and the pommel's steel push button release catch functions perfectly. The bayonet has its original steel scabbard with frog bar and brown leather frog with integral belt loop. The scabbard has no dents and its frog stud is marked ‘OEWG’. This is an excellent OLD SPEC (1991) .38 Calibre Smith & Wesson U.S. Military & Police Revolver. It has chequered wood grips and the butt is holed for Military/ Police lanyard ring lug. It retains much of it's original blue finish and is stamped along the barrel with the Smith & Wesson, manufacturer's name together with 1909 and 1914 patent details. The right side of the frame has the 'S&W Trade mark logo and Patent' together with 'Made in the U.S.A'. The steel butt strap is stamped number '703410'. It has clear chambers which will accept inert rounds and strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. The pistol comes with 6 inert, brass cased, copper jacketed .38 Calibre rounds. The FN Browning M1900 is a single action, semi-automatic pistol designed C 1896 by John Browning for Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FN) and produced in Belgium at the turn of the century. It was the first production handgun to use a slide. United States President Theodore Roosevelt owned a M1900, which he regularly kept on his person and in his bedside drawer. Eugen Schauman used an M1900 (serial number unknown) in his 1904 assassination of the Russian Governor-General of Finland at the time, Nikolai Ivanovich Bobrikov. This is an excellent example of the Browning Model 1900 in 7.65mm calibre. It has it's original finish with nice patina throughout. It has matching serial numbers 81925 on it's frame, slide and rear sight block. The pistol has a blade foresight and bakelite grips with 'FN' roundels. The left side of the pistol's slide and frame are marked with crisp manufacturer detail and inspection / proof marks (illustrated). The left side of the frame also has it's thumb lever safety catch. The butt is fitted with a fixed Military/ Police lanyard ring. The pistol is complete with it's original 7 round magazine and strips cocks and dry fires as it should. This is an original German Mauser Model 1895 straight Pull Rifle. These weapons were used by the Boers during the South African Wars and by Imperial German troops during WW1. It has all original woodwork and metalwork with steel butt plate. The wood stock is impressed with inspection marks. The breech housing is crisply stamped by the manufacturer 'Mod Mauser 1895 Ludw. Loewe & Co Berlin'. The top of the housing is crisply stamped with the Portuguese Crest indicating that this Mauser was made under contract for Portugal. It has all matching serial numbers, '11822/22' including breech, barrel, bolt & magazine plate. It has block & blade foresight and ladder rear sight. This is an excellent condition 7.62 x 39mm, Kalashnikov AK47/ AKMS Assault Rifle. AK47 Models and variants are common but the structure remains the same. The AKMS with Folding Stock was introduced as an improved variant of the AK-47 in the 1950's & saw service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. This AK47/ AKMS has some small Chinese /Korean marks stamped into the frame. The wood work and metal work of this weapon are in great condition retaining all of it's original finish.
