**RARE**1958 British, Enfield L1A1 SLR (Self Loading Rifle) With Plastic Furniture, L1A3 Bayonet, Scabbard & Sling**1995 EARLY UK DEACTIVATION COCKS & DRY FIRES** Sn 23484:18 - 23484:18 The British L1A1 SLR (Self Loading Rifle) was adopted in the early 1950s and was based on the Belgian FN FAL but adapted for British and Commonwealth service. It became the backbone of Cold War infantry, used in conflicts such as the Falklands War and numerous overseas operations. The SLR replaced the Lee Enfield rifle in British army service and was later succeeded by the SA80. This is an old spec deactivated SLR made by RSAF Enfield in 1958 and is in excellent condition retaining much of its black finish and is complete with its L1A3 bayonet in its steel scabbard and a green nylon webbing sling. The left hand side of the receiver is stamped RIFLE. 7.62 L1A1together wit UE 58 (Enfield 1958 manufacture date). The rifle is fitted with black plastic furniture which is undamaged. The rifle is serial number AD6100535. The rifle is fitted with a L1A3 bayonet and scabbard which is bayonet in excellent condition, retaining much of its original finish and is stamped on the left hand side of the grips are stamped L1A3 960-0257B. The rifle deactivated to early UK specification in 1995, cocks and dry fires, the fire selector moves, the magazine ejects and the rifle can be broken open for stripping. WW2 Thompson USA M1A1 Auto Ordnance Corp .45 ACP Sub Machine Gun With Seymour Products Co 30 Round Stick Magazine, Sling & 2 Inert Deactivated Rounds Of Ammunition**MOVING PARTS**UK/EU 2023 DEACTIVATION**D 6060 - D 6060 This is an original WW2, U.S Army Thompson M1A1 SMG (see page 350 of ‘The Ultimate Thompson Book’ By Hill). It is an excellent example and its original wood stock, pistol grip and fore stock are all undamaged as is its metal work. The weapon is crisply stamped 'Auto -Ordnance Corporation, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.A.’ and 'Thompson Submachine Gun, Caliber .45 M1A1’. The weapon is serial number 512178. The top of the frame is stamped with the Thompson name and legend. The Thompson has open combat sights. It is complete with an original stick magazine marked with Seymour Products Co manufacturer detail (illustrated). The weapon’s sling swivels are fitted with original webbing sling and it has has butt plate with trap. Deactivated to EU specification in 2023 the weapon’s slide moves backwards & forwards under spring tension, moving trigger & the magazine can be removed. Included are 2 Inert Deactivated Rounds Of .45 ACP brass cased Ammunition. The rounds load into the magazine correctly. Vickers .303 Calibre Heavy Machine Gun, Linlithgow Manufacture in 1944, MK IV Cradle/Pintle By RH & S, Tripod, Condenser Tin. Condenser Adaptor, Hose, Ammunition Tin and Inert rounds in a Webbing Belt & Wooden Transit Boxes. **EARLY UK 1995 DEACTIVATION C - 23478:73 The Vickers machine gun is a water-cooled .303 British machine gunwas produced by Vickers Limited, originally for the British Army. The gun was operated by a three-man crew but typically required more men to move and operate it: one fired, one fed the ammunition, the others helped to carry the weapon, its ammunition, and spare parts. The Vickers machine gun was in service from before the First World War until the 1960s, with air-cooled versions of it on many Allied World War I fighter aircraft. This is a complete Vickers machine gun with ancillary equipment contained in 2 wooden transit boxes. The gun was made at Lithgow Small Arms Factory in 1944 and is in excellent condition and is complete with a 1940 dated water condensing can, rubber tube and brass barrel fitting, and a number 10 mark 1 steel ammunition tin containing a 252 round 1943 dated webbing belt with 36 inert rounds. The gun is fitted with flip up long range sight and has excellent undamaged wood firing handles, retaining its original finish and is fitted with a webbing barrel cover. The gun has the dovetail optical sight mount is fitted on the left hand side of the action. The gun has a 1940 dated water condensing can, rubber tube and brass barrel fitting. The number 10 mark I steel ammunition tin contains a 1943 dated webbing 1943 containing xxx inert rounds. Deactivated to early UK specification in 1996 the gun cocks and dry fires, its breech covers can be opened and the ammunition feed tray can be removed. The mark II tripod is in excellent original condition retaining its original green paint. The tripod has a graduated dial & designation markings (all illustrated). The cradle / pintle of the mark IV tripod has maker mark MA 1929 (Linlithgow). The tripos and gun are contained in their original wooden transit cases. WW2 1943 Lanchester MK I* 9mm Calibre Sub Machine Gun By ‘M/49’ (Francis & Barnes Ltd Coventry) & ‘S 230’ (Mann’s Engineering Ltd Essex) With 50 Round Magazine & Sling**COCKS & DRY FIRES EARLY UK 1995 DEACTIVATION** Sn 23484:64 - 23484:64 This is an excellent condition British 9mm Lanchester MK I* SMG. This "British Schmeisser" was named after George Lancaster of Sterling Armament Company; he was the principal British designer and the main issue was to the Royal Navy. They were produced between 1941 and 1943. This Lanchester has the manufacturer's codes ‘M/49’ (Francis & Barnes Ltd Coventry) & ‘S 230’ (Mann’s Engineering Ltd Essex) and ‘43’ (1943 date). The Mark I* was only capable of fully automatic fire. This Lanchester has an excellent undamaged wood stock, brass butt plate with trap and brass magazine housing which is stamped with model designation, manufacturer code and serial number 54519 (all illustrated). It also has the correct 50 round magazine, flip rear sight, winged fore sight, sling swivels fitted with original webbing sling and bayonet bar. WW2 1943 Nazi German Mauser 'CE' (J.P. Sauer u. Sohn, Waffenfabrik, Suhl, Thuringia) 7.92mm Calibre K98 Rifle & Sling**COCKS & DRY FIRES EARLY UK 1994 DEACTIVATION**Sn 23484:56 - 23484:56 This is an excellent original WW2 Nazi German K98 infantry rifle. The rifle has an adjustable rear sight, block & blade fore sight, bayonet bar, cleaning rod & steel butt plate. It’s all original laminated wood stock is excellent & undamaged. It has forward sling bar and the stock is slotted for sling anchor. The rifle is fitted with leather sling with steel buckle. The breech is crisply marked with the Nazi German Wartime manufacturer code 'CE' which is J.P. Sauer u. Sohn, Waffenfabrik, Suhl, Thuringia and is dated ‘43’ (1943). The weapon has several Waffenamt & Heer Eagle with Swastika acceptance marks. The breech also has model designation ‘Mod 98’. The weapon is serial number ‘5284’ and has other un-matching numbers. WW1 1917 Imperial German Mauser G98 7.92mm Calibre Infantry Rifle With Removable Brass Muzzle Protector Cover & Sling**COCKS & DRY FIRES VERY EARLY UK 1989 DEACTIVATION** Sn 23484:55 - 23484:55 This is a very good WW1 dated Imperial German Army G98 infantry rifle. It has all original woodwork and metalwork with steel butt plate. The all original stock has just light bumps and bruises to be expected with age and service use. The barrel shank is stamped by the manufacturer ‘Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G. Oberndorf A/N’ & dated '1917'. The rifle is stamped with model detail 'G.E.W 98' (Gewehr 1898) and with Imperial German inspection marks. It has block & blade foresight, adjustable rear sight, bayonet slide, cleaning rod, sling swivels fitted with leather sling & original removable brass & steel muzzle protector cover. The rifle is serial number 1699. The metalwork has some matching numbers. The bolt has un-matching number.
