M28 fuze setter for M563 MTSQ (mechanical time super quick) fuze. M28 fuze setter spanner. (An artillery fuze or fuse is the type of munition fuze used with artillery munitions, typically projectiles fired by guns (field, anti-aircraft, coast and naval), howitzers and mortars). The spanner is made from ordnance steel and is circular in shape. A rubber covered carry handle also acts as the spanner handle during fuze setting operations. The fuze setter is engraved with timing ring scales marked in minutes and seconds. A wing nut secures the settings for fuze adjustments. A superb condition brown leather holster, dated 1915 for the Webley MK VI .455" Calibre Service Revolvers (The Webley Revolver (also known as the Webley Top-Break Revolver or Webley Self-Extracting Revolver) was, in various designations, a standard issue service revolver for the armed forces of the United Kingdom, and countries of the British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations, from 1887 to 1970). It has a full flap cover with single brass stud and has a retaining strap with eyelet stitched to the body. It has a large rear belt loop with original brass bar and hook for attachment to Sam Browne belt rigs. All leather is rich and supple and the stitching is intact. The price includes UK delivery. Pair of Handmade Real Leather Air gun/Rifle Pellet Pouches .177 & .22 with Brass Hangers. 21563. - 21563
A pair of beautifully handmade leather pellet pouches with brass hangers and press studs. The thick leather is dome shaped with mouthpieces intricately cut out for access, and hinged with leather straps, fastening tightly with brass press studs. The larger .22 pouch measures 14cm from base to top of the hanger, around 5cm in depth. The smaller .177 pouch measures 11cm from base to top of hanger, around 3cm in depth. British, WW2, 1943 Dated Mills 36M Hand Grenade Wooden Transit Box for Twenty Five 36M Grenades. - O 2112
This is an original British WW2, 1943 dated wooden transit box that originally held 25 Mills 36M hand grenades. The box has two steel hinges on one side on the lid and two steel locking straps opposite. The lid an all 4 sides are profusely stenciled as follows the lid is stenciled in white HAND GRENADES with EXPLOSIVES underneath in yellow. The sides are stenciled 25 GRENADES MAM FRAG MK in white S4GGA EA-1-43 (January 1943 date) in yellow LOT in white. Also 37 lbs 020 CU FT SHIPPING TICKET MO in white and LOT EA 1-43 in yellow, (see photographs). The 25 grenade box is harder to find than the 12 grenade wooden box. This box will be additional to any good collection or museum display for the 80th anniversary of the D Day. Early WW2 .50 Browning M17 Ammunition Chest for Gun Mounting. - O 2112
This is an early WW2 ammunition box containing belted for the .50 Browning machine gun and was fitted onto the ammunition cradle. This design of M17 box was quickly superseded by theM2e box, the problems with the M17 box was that it did not have a waterproof lid with a gasket, the boxes were not stackable and the lid was hinged forward or rearward, unlike the M2 box which was side hinged and was quickly detachable. The steel M17 box was introduce into service in March 1942 replacing the aluminium version and was superseded in September 1942 by the M2 all steel box. The chest retains most of its original green painted finish and is stencilled on the front in black CHEST. AMMUNITION CAL .50 M17 and has a simple clasp fastening. This is an original American wooden box that originally contained 384 rounds of .30 calibre ammunition in bandoleers. This type if box was used in World War 2 and continued after. This is a Korean War era wooden box is stencilled on the inside RIVERSIDE BOX CO. DEC. 1952 (December 1952) on the inside. The box is in excellent condition and is profusely stencilled as to the contents on the sides and lid. The box is complete with both zinc plated closing straps and turn screws.
