**RARE**19th Century French Officers M1873 / M1892 Lebel Revolver Leather Lobster Holster. L 501 - L 501
A late 19th century French Revolver Holster designed for use with both the 1873 and 1892 Lebel Revolver (The service revolver model 1873 Chamelot-Delvigne was the first double-action revolver used by the French Army. It was produced by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne from 1873 to 1887 in about 337,000 units. Although replaced by the Modele 1892 revolver, it was nevertheless widely used during the First World War and issued to reserve units in 1940. The French Resistance made widespread use of it during the German occupation). The brown leather holster has an internal compartment for cartridges. The rear has a single belt loop and leather tabs with brass rings for shoulder strap. These holsters were copied by both the Russians and the Japanese for their Nagant and Nambu T-14 pistols. This French example is in excellent condition. The clam / flap has a leather tab strap with eyelet reinforced by a riveted brass plate which secures to a brass lug on the body of the holster. **RARE**WW1 Era Brown Leather Holster For Imperial German Army Model 1883 (M/83) 10.6mm Calibre 5” Barrel Reichs Revolvers. L 500 - L 500
This is a rare to find brown leather holster for Model 1883 (M/83) 10.6mm calibre Reichs Revolvers (see page 203 of the book Reichs revolver By Harder where a holster with the same smaller variant cartridge pouch as ours is illustrated). The holster has an open top with retaining strap which has an eyelet that fastens to a stud on the body of the holster near to the throat (the steel stud with split pin to the rear is a period replacement). The front of the holster has the correct smaller variant ammunition carrier pouch with flap cover and retaining strap secured by a steel buckle. The inside of the carrier has 12 individual pockets to hold 6 rounds of 10.6mm calibre ammunition. The holster has 2 rear belt loops (one a period replacement). The holster also has a contemporary repair near to the throat on one side which can be seen in the images. All leather is clean and supple. There are no visible maker or date marks on the holster. WW2 1942 U.S. Army Holster For .45 ACP Calibre Colt 1911 & 1911A1 Semi Automatic Pistols By Sears. L 400 - L 400
These sturdy leather holsters were the standard holster for American troops carrying the M-1911 or M-1911A1 semi automatic pistol. The holster is in excellent condition. It has a full flap cover with eyelet which fastens to a brass stud on the front of the holster. The flap is embossed with the ‘U.S’ (Army) roundel. On the reverse it has a leather belt loop, secured with stitching and four brass rivets. It also has a steel wire belt hanger. The leather belt loop on the back of the holster is impressed by the manufacturer ‘Sears’ above ‘1942’ date. The muzzle end of the holster has a brass ringed hole for thigh cord. Swedish Brown Leather Large Framed Pistol Holster. - L 259
This is a large brown leather holster for a large pistol similar to the Lefaucheux pistols purchased by the Swedish government. The rear of the holster near the flap is embossed with the Swedish three crowns military stamp. The holster has a single belt loop at the rear and has the flap is retained by a brass stud fixing in the holsters body. The holster measures 17 inches long and 7 ¾ inches across the flap. An original, WW1 dated Leather Holster for Imperial German army officer’s Luger PO8 9mm Parabellum Pistols in excellent condition. Made of brown Cow hide, the hard case Holster has an integral leather pouch with flap cover sewn into the inside of its lid, for a Luger pistol stripping tool. The pouch stud fastener is absent. The holster has a magazine pouch on its right aspect. The flap cover of the holster is secured by a buckle which functions as it should. Inside the holster’s lid there is impressed manufacturer detail ‘G. Zender Berlin’ and ‘1916’ date & indistinct period hand written signature most likely the name of the German Officer who carried this holster in WW1. The holster has 2 rear belt loops. SOLD SOLD (09/06) **RARE**UN-ISSUED**Original WW2 1945 Canadian WD Wood & Steel Shoulder Stock Holster Rig By SA Ltd For Allied Special Forces Inglis Browning High Power 9mm Semi Automatic Pistols. Sn 22634 - 22634
Many Browning High-Power pistols were produced in Canada for Allied use, by John Inglis and Company in Toronto. Production began in 1944 and they were on issue by the March 1945 Operation Varsity airborne crossing of the Rhine into Germany. Inglis produced two versions of the Hi-Power, one with an adjustable rear sight and detachable shoulder stock. The pistol was popular with the British airborne forces as well as covert operations and commando groups such as the Special Operations Executive (SOE), the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS) and the British Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment. This is an excellent original WW2 Inglis Wood & Steel Shoulder Stock Holster Rig For Allied Special Forces Inglis Browning High Power 9mm Semi Automatic Pistols. The undamaged wood shoulder stock holster in un-issued condition. The wood is impressed by the maker ‘SA Ltd’ and dated ‘1945’. It has a hinged lid, internal leaf spring, chequered steel opening catch button and steel pistol fixing bar. The bar has its original webbing and steel belt loop attachment. The belt loop has a leather tab end and blued steel sprung belt clip. The webbing loop is impressed with Canadian WD ink mark and faint ink marks which looks like a maker mark ‘ZL&T Ltd’. The front of the stocks wrist has the correct blued metal grooved lug with sprung catch for attachment to the slotted grip frame of Browning Hi Power variants designed to accommodate shoulder stocks (the similar shoulder stock fitted to a Browning Hi Power illustrated in image 1 is for demonstration purposes and are not included). The Rig comprises a 2-inch width, Heavy duty black leather belt beautifully tooled in a basket weave and scallop edge design. The belt will fit waist sizes 34" to 42" and has a large 3" steel buckle which is removeable to allow greater adjustment along the belt's width. This feature provides greater waist size adjustment. The belt is profusely stamped with S&W logos and number '42'. Victorian 34th (Cumberland) Regiment of Foot Infantry Officer's Leather Cross Belt With Brass Fittings Including Queen’s Crown Brass Badge, Mounted With Silver Chained Sterling Silver Whistle (Hallmarked Edinburgh 1864), Ammo Pouch Brass Regiment Badge. - 22441:21
The 34th (Cumberland) Regiment of Foot was an infantry regiment of the British Army, raised in 1702. Under the Childers Reforms it amalgamated with the 55th (Westmorland) Regiment of Foot to form the Border Regiment in 1881. In August 1829 the regiment was posted to Canada. A detachment from the regiment fought American Hunters' Lodges at the Battle of Windsor in December 1838 during the Upper Canada Rebellion. The regiment embarked for the journey back to England in June 1841. The regiment was then engaged suppressing Chartist riots in the North of England in 1842. The regiment next saw action at the siege of Sevastopol in winter 1854 during the Crimean War. It also fought at the siege of Cawnpore in June 1857 and the siege of Lucknow in autumn 1857 during the Indian Rebellion. Battle honours won by the regiment were:Peninsular War: Albuhera, Arroyo dos Molinos, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, Peninsula,Crimean War: Sevastopol, Indian Mutiny: Lucknow, West Indies: Havannah (awarded 1909 to The Border Regiment). Victoria Crosses awarded to men of the regiment were: Private William Coffey, Crimean War (29 March 1855), Private George Richardson, Indian Mutiny (27 April 1859), Private John Joseph Sims, Crimean War (18 June 1855). This is an excellent original Victorian 34th (Cumberland) Regiment of Foot Infantry Officer's Leather Cross Belt Cross Belt, Silver Chained Sterling Silver Whistle (Hallmarked Edinburgh 1864), Ammunition Pouch With Brass Regiment Badge. The metal lined pouch has a full flap cover and retaining strap with eyelet that fastens to a brass stud on the underside of the pouch. The belt is 35” length and 2 ½” broad at its widest. The belt is mounted to the pouches’ side hanging rings by straps with eyelets that fasten to brass lugs. The belt is mounted with a brass Queen’s Crown above Lion badge, A large Silver Lion’s head boss fitted with silver chain and sterling silver marked Officer’s whistle. The whistle holster has Scottish Thistle engraved decoration and Hallmarks for Edinburgh 1864. The whistle works as it should and has matching Hallmarks. WW1 1917 Dated U.S. Army M1897 Colt .38 Revolver Holster by G & K. L 389 - L 389
This is an excellent WW1 1917 dated U.S. Army Model 1897 Colt .38" revolver holster. It has a nice patina. It has a single broad retaining flap with single brass stud fastener. The front of the holster is stamped with the U.S. Army 'U.S. Roundel'. The rear of the holster features a broad 5" belt loop large enough to slide onto the cartridge belt of the day. (see Page 196 of Doughboy to G.I. by Lewis). The belt loop is nicely stamped "G & K 1917" (Graton & Knight Manufacturing Company of Massachusetts). The belt loop is stitched and secured with three rivets as well. All leather and stitching of the holster is intact. It is fitted with a muzzle tip plug with ring for a thigh retaining cord.
