*Quality* West German Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42 FFP Variable Rifle Scope. OPT 810. - OPT 810 This is a West German Zeiss Diavari-Z 1.5-6x42 variable power first focal plane scope. Since 1904, ZEISS has been a pioneer in riflescopes for hunting. It has secured its pole position thanks to innovations and extremely high-quality standards. Milestones achieved by the company include two hunting riflescopes in 1922 with variable magnification Scope measures 12 3/8" in length with a 30mm main tube with a permanent reverse dovetail mount along the bottom. Metal surfaces show some minor age-related marks. The optics remain bright and clear and feature a first focal plane German 3 Post style reticle. Included with the scope is a set of European style mounts attached to the rail. Marked 1733005 to the underside and ‘ZEISS West Germany DIAVARI – Z 1,5…6x42 T* to the eyepiece. **AS FOUND UN-MESSED WITH**Cased, WW1 Era Imperial German Army Officer’s, Fernglas ’08 (Model 1908), 6 X 39 Magnification, Binoculars By C.P Goerz Berlin With Eye Piece Protector Cover & Neck Strap. Sn 21906 - 21906 These are an original cased pair of WW1 era German, Fernglas 6 X 39 Magnification Infantry Officer's Binoculars in as found un-messed with condition (see page 20 of Military Binoculars & Telescopes For Land Air & Sea Service by Seeger). The binoculars have a field green finish with adjustable eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars fitted with original leather neck strap and metal eye piece protector cover. All optics are excellent & function as they should. The binoculars are stamped 'Fernglas 08', together with the manufacturer's name ‘C.P Goerz Berlin’ and number ‘Nr 15609’ (illustrated). The binoculars are contained in their fitted sturdy leather case with hinged lid. The rear of the case has belt loops. The lid has brass studs on the left and right sides which fasten to leather tabs with eyelets on the body of the case. The inside of the case has original paper Fernglas ’08 instructions in German text & the front of the case has matching maker details impressed ‘C.P Goerz A.G Berlin’. WW2 Era Nazi German Dienstglas D.F 10 X 50 Magnification Kriegsmarine Binoculars By E. Leitz Wetzlar With Leather Neck Strap & Leather Lens Cover. Sn 21738 - 21738 These are a good, original pair of Nazi German, 10 X 50 Magnification, Kriegsmarine Binoculars. The brass Binoculars have a black textured finish, with adjustable eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars fitted with original leather neck strap & leather lens protector cover. All optics function as they should. One shoulder is crisply marked 'D.F 10 x 50' (Magnification) together Dienstglas (Service Glass), serial number 1115 and H/6400. The other has the maker’s E. Leitz Wetzlar cartouche and bears the Nazi Kriegsmarine Eagle with Swastika and ‘M’ mark (all illustrated). The Binoculars are 8 ½” length and 6” wide. The price includes UK delivery. WWI 1917 British Officer's French Limited Mk VIII Verners Pattern Military Marching Compass and Leather 1918 Dated case by T.J. Dutfield Ltd . OPT 809. - OPT 809 This is an excellent fully functioning (no bubbles), WWI British Officer's Military Compass. It has a brass case and is mounted with lanyard ring. The glass face and numbered brass outer ring are perfectly intact. The rear of the compass is nicely marked by the manufacturer 'F-L (French Limited) together with 'No. 104645' and '1917' date together with ‘MK VIII’ and Broad Arrow. The compass is complete with its original leather pouch/case of issue in excellent condition, stamped to the rear ‘T.J. Dutfield Ltd 1918’. The pouch is made of beautifully aged leather with fastening strap and buckle and velvet lining, with the previous owner 2nd Lt. A.Pennington (of the Kings Own Royal Border Regiment). *Original* Cased, WW2 Imperial Japanese Army, Nikko, 5 X 10 Magnification, Extendable, Trench Periscope. Sn 7535. - 7535 This is an excellent original WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Trench Periscope. The periscope made by 'Nikko' has 5 X 10 Magnification and all optics -graticules are good and fully functional. It has an extending slide with viewer head and extends from 17 1/2" to 24". It retains most of its original black finish. The scope has not been messed with. It would originally have been equipped with an additional handle that screwed into the bottom of the scope, however this is missing. The top of the viewer head is crisply stamped with Japanese script, 5 X 10 Magnification detail and manufacturer's mark 'Nikko'. (illustrated). The scope is complete with its original alloy carry case with hinged lid & clasp fastener. The case is lined with wood and separated into 2 compartments for the scope and the missing additional handle. The case which retains a lot of its original khaki paint is fitted with webbing shoulder strap *split but intact* and the top of the lid has a plate bearing Japanese script & 'No. 1021' (illustrated). *Scarce/as Found* German WWI Fernglas 08 Binoculars Maker marked Busch A-G Rathenow in Original Case. 21645. - 21645 Marked ‘Dienstglas’ translated to ‘service glass’ and No 119807 and Fernglas 08 Emil Busch A-G Rathenow (1792 - Johann Heinrich August Duncker (1767-1843) began to make optical instruments in Rathenow; 1872 - the Optische Anstalt Rathenow became the stock market company Emil Busch AG; worked closely with Zeiss, from which they obtained their optical glass. The green or 'feldgrau' paint coating on the body of the binoculars is worn in parts which adds to the patina. The lenses are undamaged. The canvas and leather case has its original straps and lens covers and on the inside of the lid are the original paper label instructions for use. A fine pair of now scarce binoculars.
