An original pair of WW2 Nazi Dienstglas (Service Glass), 7 X 50 Magnification, Infantry Officer's Binoculars & case. The binoculars have undamaged adjustable Bakelite eyepieces with flip up lens covers. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars and they are fitted with original thin leather neck strap. All optics are good and function as they should. The right shoulder of the binoculars are crisply stamped 'Dienstglas 7x 50' and with serial number '152707'. It is also stamped with the code 'bmk' which is the Nazi wartime code for Srb & Stys, Fabrik praeziser Messinstrumente, Prag together with a blue triangle which indicates cold climate use (A blue triangle meant that they were constructed for cold climate, White for temperate climates and Green for hot climates). They are contained in their fitted sturdy black leather case with hinged lid. The lid of the case has its retaining strap and the body has its original single stud fastener. An original pair of WW2 Nazi German, Dienstglas (Service Glass), 10 X 50 Magnification, Infantry Officer's Binoculars & case. The binoculars have undamaged adjustable Bakelite eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars and they are fitted with original thin leather neck strap and leather tab for attachment to Uniform. All optics are good and function as they should. The right shoulder of the binoculars are crisply stamped 'Dienstglas 10x 50' and with serial number '26994'. It is also stamped with the code 'rln' which is the one of the Nazi German War Time codes for Carl Zeiss, Jena, together with a blue ‘+’ which indicates that the lenses were treated to withstand temperatures down to -40° for cold climate use such as Winter or use on the Russian front. They are contained in their fitted sturdy black leather case with hinged lid. The lid of the case has its original sprung, armoured strap and the body has its original single stud fastener. The case is fitted with leather shoulder strap. The body of the case near to the rim is crisply waffenamt ‘WaA326’ and dated 1941 together with ‘htg’ which is the Nazi German War Time Code for Polte Armaturen Maschinenfabriken Duderstadt plant, Westphalia. This is a an excellent fully functioning WW1 British Officer's Military Compass By Barker & Son. It has a brass case and is mounted with lanyard ring. The glass face and numbered brass outer ring are perfectly in tact. The lid plate is stamped with a small Barker and Son London Trademark. It is complete with brown leather case with flap cover and stud fastener. The case has impressed initials 'W.B.D' highlighted in gold leaf. These are a nice original cased pair of WW2 British Military No.2 MK 3, 6X 30 Magnification Prismatic binoculars. The binoculars measure 6" X 5" and have a black textured finish, with adjustable eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars and they are fitted with a green neck cord. All optics are good and function as they should. The right shoulder of the binoculars is crisply stamped with graticule detail. The left shoulder is crisply stamped with ' Bino Prism No.2 MK 3, 6X ' Model and magnification detail together with 'No. 239702'. All lettering is highlighted in original white paint (illustrated). The binoculars retain most of their original black finish with slight service wear consistent with handling in the field and have original red paint on the forward casing screws. They are contained in their fitted hard body green canvas case with hinged lid and single brass stud fastener. The inside of the lid is nicely stamped by the manufacturer in black ink ' M.E. Co' (Mills Equipment Company), 'War Dept arrow' & dated '1940' (illustrated). The case is undamaged. The rear is fitted with brass belt and webbing bars. These are a nice original cased pair of WW2 Canadian made British Military 6 X 30 Magnification, binoculars. The binoculars measure 6" X 5" and have a black textured finish, with adjustable eyepieces. The body of the binoculars have lanyard bars and they are fitted with a thin brown leather neck strap. All optics are good and function as they should. The right shoulder of the binoculars is crisply stamped with graticule detail together with manufacturer's detail 'R.E.L. Canada' (R.E.L Research Enterprises Limited was founded by the Canadian Government on July 1940) and date '1943'. The left shoulder is crisply stamped with War Dept arrow and 6 X 30 magnification detail together with '23044-C'. All lettering on both shoulders is highlighted in original white paint (illustrated). The bottom of the right eyepiece surround has a chip. This chip does not detract from the attractiveness of the set and the eyepiece is secure & functions as it should. The binoculars retain all of their original finish. They are contained in their fitted hard body green canvas case with hinged lid and single brass stud fastener. The inside of the lid is nicely stamped by the manufacturer in black ink ' M.E Co ' (Mills Equipment Co)with 'War Dept arrow' & dated '1940' (illustrated). Cased, WW2 Imperial Japanese Army, Nikko, 5 X 10 Magnification, Extendable, Trench Periscope. Sn 7535. - 7535
This is an excellent original WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Trench Periscope. The periscope made by 'Nikko' has 5 X 10 Magnification and all optics -graticules are good and fully functional. It has an extending slide with viewer head and extends from 17 1/2" to 24". It retains most of it's original black finish. The scope has not been messed with. It would originally have been equipped with an additional handle that screwed into the bottom of the scope, however this is missing. The top of the viewer head is crisply stamped with Japanese script, 5 X 10 Magnification detail and manufacturer's mark 'Nikko'. (illustrated). The scope is complete with it's original alloy carry case with hinged lid & clasp fastener. The case is lined with wood and separated into 2 compartments for the scope and the missing additional handle. The case which retains a lot of it's original khaki paint is fitted with webbing shoulder strap and the top of the lid has a plate bearing Japanese script & 'No. 1021' (illustrated). WW2 British Mark IX 408C Course Setting bombsight - 5620
This is a WW2 British Mark IX 408C Course Setting bombsight used by the RAF and RCAF in Mosquito, Lancaster, and Wellington Bombers for 20lb HE bombs. The Mk. IX has a raised front sight and a longer front 'arm' so that the bombaimer can cope with the higher speeds and also can use the front quadrant more easily to let the target 'run down' the wires on approach.
