INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an extremely rare complete packet of 10 paper cartridges for the British Enfield Rifle used in the British Army from 1853. The cartridges are in remarkable good condition with no cracking to the paper wraps on the cartridges. The cartridge paper used is all white, pink or and mixture of pink and white. The top of the paper cartridge where the bullet is packed is closed by means of a dye to make a hollow dimple. The top is twisted round to contain the black powder. The outer paper wrapper is of a buff stiff paper and is printed on the front 10 CARTRIDGES FOR ENFIELD RIFLE. .577 BORE BULLET ’55 POWDER 2 ½ DRS. ___ MANUFACTURED BY ELEY BROS. LD LONDON. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a rare packet of 19 rounds of .276 Peterson (7x51) Ball Ammunition Manufactured for the American .276 Peterson trials rifles by Frankford Arsenal in 1929. The Pedersen Rifle, officially known in final form as the T1E3 rifle and was a United States semi-automatic rifle designed by John Pedersen, made in small numbers for trials by the United States Army during the 1920s as part of a program to standardize and adopt a replacement for the M1903 Springfield bolt action rifle. The Pedersen rifle took 7mm rounds in a 10 round clip and was slightly less powerful than the 30-06 round then used by the Americans. The Peterson rifle was in completion to the M1 Garrand rifle which was subsequently adopted by the American Army. These rounds are contained in a 20 round segmented cardboard box. The box is printed in black 20 CARTRIDGES, BALL and in a red band on the front of the box is printed in black CALIBER .276. The box also states the cartridges were manufactured at Frankford Arsenal in 1929. INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a rare packet of 20 rounds of .276 Peterson (7x51) Ball Ammunition Manufactured for the American .276 Peterson trials rifles by Frankford Arsenal in 1929. **INERT DEACTIVATED** The Norma Factory was founded in 1902 by the Enger brothers from Oslo, Norway, who had founded Norma Projektilfabrik A/S a few years earlier. The Swedish shooting movement needed a supplier in Sweden, and a request was made for Norma Projektilfabrik A/S to set up in Sweden. From the very beginning, and until halfway through the 20th century, the company’s business was dominated by the production of military ammunition and ammunition for rifles, but the range of hunting equipment gradually became more and more interesting. This is a Norma Factory display board with brass rifle cartridges from .22 Hornet up to 9.3x62 and pistol cases from .32ACP up to .44 Magnum. Also displayed are a broad range of bullet heads to fit the cases all of the cases and bullets have identification markings on the clear plastic front viewing panel /cover above where each case or head is seated. The viewing panel is edged in red & has the Norma company name in Red and white together with imagery of game animals. It is also marked ‘made In Sweden’. The cartridge display board is made from moulded plastic which measures 19 ½” x 19 ½” x 2”. The board retains all of the display cartridges and bullet heads. All items are secure. The round consists of a brass solid drawn brass case which is headstamped KYNOCH 577/450. The case is crimped onto a 480 grain white paper patched lead bullet indicating use in the rifle and not the carbine.
