A Victorian Police Presentation truncheon, hand decorated, by McNaughton, Glasgow and stamped with 332. The truncheon is made from a hard wood, and varnished. It is 18" long. It has a ringed baluster grip. The pommel is stamped with the maker's name, "McNaughton, Glasgow", (see one of the photographs). The truncheon is hand decorated with the Queen Victoria Royal Cypher (V.R.) and below this it is stamped with "332". This is a nice original truncheon. The price includes Uk delivery. Sn 10724

A police presentation truncheon hand made display stand to hold 7 x truncheons. The stands have been commissioned by ourselves and are hand made for displaying Police Presentation Truncheons. The stands are beautifully made and finished. They are made from hard wood and varnished. They have green baize in the truncheon 'seats' and four baize circles, one in each corner on the base. The stands measure 21" x 8 1/2" x 4 3/4". (see the photographs, the truncheons are not included). The price includes Uk delivery.

WW1 Period Cheshire Constabulary Uniform Leather Waist Belt, Buckle and Clasp. Sn 10712:1 - 10712:1
An original WW1 period Cheshire Constabulary uniform leather waist belt, buckle and clasp. The waist belt is dark brown leather and it has a very nice original patina. The belt is in excellent condition. It is 48" long when laid out flat. It has a buckle which allows it to be adjusted, in the photographs it is adjusted to 36". The belt has two leather loops. The clasp is nickel and has the Cheshire Constabulary crest in the centre along with "Cheshire Constabulary" around the outside. The leather fob behind the clasp has a number stamped on the reverse "106340" making it a researchable item. The stitching on the belt is all present and secure. The price includes Uk delivery. This is an excellent original Derbyshire Constabulary Constable's / Sergeant's 2 panel helmet with a WW2 King's Crown night helmet plate and chin strap. It has a perfect exterior finish with correct 2 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with it's original blackened King's Crown plate with central silvered Derbyshire Crest. Inside it is in good condition with a leather sweat band and chinstrap with small buckle. It has a blue ink stamp on the inside of the sweat band, a makers name and size which is illegible. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 10272

This is an excellent original post 1953 Lancashire Constabulary male Constable's/ Sergeant's 2 panel helmet with a Queen's Crown night helmet plate and chin strap. It has a perfect exterior finish with correct 2 panel construction and ornate black painted vented rose top mount and headband with side rosettes. The rose and headband have the original blacking. It is fitted with it's original blackened Queen's Crown plate with central silvered Lancashire Rose. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band with string adjustment cord and chinstrap with small buckle. It has a black ink stamp "6 3/4" giving the size. Massive, Silver Plated, 1907-1986 Military Chatham & District United Services Football League Winners Shield Plaque Presented By RN Barracks HMS Acheron & Military Services Football Clubs 1907. Sn 10040 - 10040
The Chatham & District United Services League included teams from all of the Military Services and some Civilian Police teams. In 1907 the league was presented with a trophy for the league in the form of a massive Oak Shield shaped plaque measuring 28 1/4" x 22 1/2" x 1 1/2". The Plaque was presented to the league by Royal Navy Barracks and other military services. It's highly decorated silver plated embossed centre and fittings features a football game in play scene and banner ' Chatham & District United Services Football League' together with beautifully engraved presentation details which include the title HMS Acheron (HMS Acheron is recorded as an A-class destroyer sunk by a mine during WW2 on 17 December 1940 off St. Catherine's Point). It is also dated 1907 (all illustrated). The top section of the Shield features a banner engraved 'Winners 1907-1963 and winning teams of the league from the 1st winners ' Argyle & Sutherland Highlanders 1907-08' through to 'B Div. Police 1962-63'. The lower section of the shield features individual silver plated shields with Police, Army and Navy, League Champions team details engraved. The Shield appears to have been last won in the 1985-86 Season by Medway Police and has their shield towards the lower edge. The bottom tip of the shield has a void silver plated shield ready for engraving. All wood is undamaged and the silver plating on this impressive shield has just the wear to be expected with age. Early WW2 1939 Dated Home Front, British Police Inspector's 'Tommy' Helmet By BH & C Ltd With Liner & Chinstrap. Sn 9636 - 9636
This is an excellent condition, complete, original, WW2, painted steel Police Inspector's 'Tommy' helmet. The helmet is painted white and has it's original Stenciled navy blue paint lettering 'POLICE'. The inner rim of the helmet is stamped 'ROC VA' & dated 'I (Jan)1939'. It has it's original black oil cloth liner with adjustment cord and sprung webbing chinstrap all of which are completely intact. The chin strap is hand ink marked '981' . The inside of the helmet is marked by the manufacturer 'BH&C Ltd' dated '1 (Jan)1939' and has date size '7'. The helmet is undamaged with no denting and it retains almost all of it's original paint. This is an excellent Helmet made at the outbreak of WW2 when the the threat of Air raids was imminent. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 9636

Large Victorian Document Secure Storage Transit Box Marked To H.M. Inspector Of Constabulary For Scotland, Dover House. Sn 9638 - 9638
Early in the 19th Century many changes were made to the way crime was dealt with in Scotland. In the mid 1800's Scottish burghs were given power to establish police Forces if they had not already done so. Her Majesty's Inspector Of Constabularies (HMIC) were given power by Queen Victoria to enquire into the performance of Constabularies and make recommendations to improve recruitment of Constables & their pay and conditions of service. These enquires generated large quantities of documentation much of which was secret or sensitive and required secure storage in particular when in transit. This is an excellent original Victorian HMIC secure storage metal transit box. It measures 18 1/2"x 13"x 11"and has a hinged lid with brass lock (the key has become lost at some point in it's life). The box has carry handles riveted to the left and right sides of it's body and retains much of it's original black paint. It has no dents and the front of the box is stencil marked ' H.M. INSPECTOR OF CONSTABULARY FOR SCOTLAND DOVER HOUSE PAPERS'. This is an excellent WW2 Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary Officer's Peaked Cap. It's Dark Navy Blue material is clean and undamaged as is it's excellent embroided Oak leaf band. It has it's original alloy Cap Badge with King's Crown, Coat Of Arms & wording 'Metropolitan Special Constabulary'. The rear of the badge has the correct lugs & split pin. It has a patent leather peak & The Cap's liner is clean with just the service wear to be expected. The crown of the cap has a nice label 'Herbert Johnson, 38 New Bond Street london' with Arms and 'Royal Appointment' banner. The inside of the sweat band is ink signed by it's original owner 'Wharton E (Division) 4468 (Collar Number)'. The cap is approx UK size 6. Price includes UK delivery. Sn 9284

An original, post 1901 Police Superintendent's Blue Barathea Patrol Jacket. It has roll collar and hook & eye fastening to the front. The jacket & Collar are edged in 1" black Mohair braid and trimmed with braid at the back. It has a row of Russia braid eyes inside the lace collar and pleated breast pockets and internal side pockets. It has pointed cuffs edged with braid and Russia eyes above and below. The shoulder straps are edged with narrow braid and bear stitch traces of embroided crowns which have been removed. It is fitted with black kings crown buttons 1 embossed Durham County Constabulary the other Lincolnshire Constabulary. All material is intact and clean. it is approx UK size 38" Chest.
