The City of Manchester Airport Police Force was formed in the 1950s. Following the designation of Manchester Airport under the Policing of Airports Act 1974, responsibility for policing the Airport passed from the Airport Police to the local territorial Police Force, Greater Manchester Police, on 1 August 1976. This is an original City of Manchester Police constables & Sergeants helmet. It is undamaged and complete with chinstrap, leather sweatband and original City of Manchester Airport Police metal badge and crown rosette. It is approx size UK 6 3/4. Price includes UK delivery. Post 1953 Durham Constabulary Male Constable's/ Sergeant's Custodian Helmet With Night Plate. Sn 7721. - 7721
Established in 1839 Durham Constabulary was one of the first County Police Forces to be formed. This is an excellent post 1953 male Constable's/ Sergeant's Helmet of the Durham Constabulary. It has a perfect exterior finish with ribbed band and rigid Combe to provide greater protection during public disorder with combe plate & blackened Queens Crown Night plate. Inside it is in excellent condition with a leather sweat band with string adjustment cord and chinstrap togehter with additional Public order press stud fastening chin strap for use during riots and public disorder. It has a nice as new manufacturer's label in the Crown of the helmet 'Custodian helmet, Compton Webb Head Dress Ltd' together with Company address. It is approx size UK 6-6 1/2. The North Yorkshire Police Force was formed on 1 April 1974 and was largely a successor to the York and North East Yorkshire Police, also taking part of the old West Yorkshire Constabulary's area. This is a peaked hard top, bowler cap issued to Female Sergeants or Constables in the North Yorkshire Police. It is in excellent condition with blue &white chequered band & correct North Yorkshire Police badge bearing the white rose of Yorkshire and Queens Crown. Inside the Bowler is a nice label with heraldic coat of arms marked 'Christy's London, Made in England, with brand name 'Pathfinder' together with a size label '7 1/8'. Price includes UK delivery. Royal Falkland Islands Police Hat and Royal Falkland Islands Enamel Badge, size 6 1/2 (53) The hat is in very good condition, the black and white chequered hat band is clean and undamaged, the peak and chin strap are both in very good condition and the chin strap is secure. The hat has a tweed lining as can be seen in one of the photographs and retains the manufacturers label, "A Gannex Product" by appointment to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh. This is a superb example of a police hat with a rare Enamel Police Badge which has the words "Royal Falkland Islands Police " round the outside and "Desire the Right" written over a yellow background below a sailing ship below a raised image of a Sheep. German Police Officers Tunic & Cap - PO 94
A nice uniform of a West German Police Officer consisting of his green tunic and white topped cap. The tunic is made of officer quality material with a silk lining. It has a label on the collar, "sg 56-1" and a pocket stamp of "Mdl. 1850, 2/Y". (somewhere in all those figures is the size) It has two epaullettes with 3 pips on and silver bullion braid with bright green piping. It has the German type collar badges again with green piping. It has a "Betriebsschutz" arm badge (Operational Protection Police), a 3 medal bar, a gold Kampfsport chest medal and all its buttons. In perfect condition. The matching cap has a white top, gold and enamel cap badge, cockade, green and silver strap. It has a makers diamond inside of Albert Kempf K.G. of Stirndruckfrei and is size 57.
