2001 Republic Of Ireland / Eire, ‘An Garda Siochana’ (Garda) Male Police Officer’s Uniform Service Cap With Metal Cap Badge. POL 405 - POL 405 Formed in 1923, the An Garda Síochána (The Guardian of the Peace), more commonly referred to as ‘the Garda’’ or ‘the Guards’, is the police service of the Republic of Ireland. The service is headed by the Garda Commissioner who is appointed by the Irish Government. Its headquarters are in Dublin's Phoenix Park. This is an excellent original Garda Male Police Officer’s Service Cap. Made of dark blue serge material, it is clean and undamaged. It has the correct cloth covered stiff brim and chin strap with buckles secured by plain plated buttons. The front of the cap is mounted with its original Garda cap badge. The cloth lining with leather sweatband is clean with just service wear to be expected with service use. As was common, the Garda Officer who was issued with the cap appears to have formed the cap into a military saddle shape with slashed peak. The sweatband has a safety pin attached to it with small paper label printed with 12th June 2001 date (illustrated). The cap is approx. UK size 6. The price includes UK delivery. POL 405 £145.00 |

Post 1952 Royal Ulster Constabulary (R.U.C.) Female Police Officer’s Uniform Service Cap By Compton Sons & Webb Ltd London With Blackened Brass Queen’s Crown R.U.C. Badge. POL 401 - POL 401 Formed in 1922, the uniform and insignia of the R.U.C. remained essentially the same as their predecessors the R.I.C. (Royal Irish Constabulary). From the beginning it had a dual role, unique among United Kingdom police forces, of providing a normal law enforcement police service while protecting Northern Ireland from the terrorist activities of outlawed groups. The R.U.C. was superseded by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) in 2001. This is an excellent original Post 1952 R.U.C. female Police officer’s cap. Made of dark green serge material, it is clean and undamaged. It has the correct press stud side flaps, patent leather brim and chin strap with buckles. The front of the cap is mounted with its original blackened brass R.U.C Queen’s Crown cap badge correctly backed by red felt patch. The cloth lining with cloth sweatband is undamaged and has just light service wear. The lining is ink stamped by the manufacturer ‘J. Compton Sons & Webb Ltd London’ together with size ‘6 7/8’. The hats design is based on the WW2 British Women's military uniform issue hat. The hat is in perfect undamaged condition. It has a large visor peak. 1950's-60's West German Police 'Polizei' Peaked Police Motorcyclist Helmet By Romer Helm, Size 57 / 58 and Helmet Transfer Badge. Sn 13907:62 - 13907:62 This is a 1950's-60's West German Police 'Polizei' motorcyclist helmet, size 57 / 58. The helmet is made of hard composite and coloured white and it has a leather headband on the outside which is padded. It is styled similar to the British 'Corker' motorcycle helmet. It has a black leather neck and ear piece with black nylon chin strap which is adjustable with a steel buckle. To the front is a transfer type helmet badge which depicts a rearing horse. 1950's-60's West German Police 'Polizei' Peaked Police Motorcyclist Helmet By Romer Helm, Size 59 and Helmet Badge. Sn 13907:61 - 13907:61 This is a 1950's-60's West German Police 'Polizei' motorcyclist peaked helmet, size 59. The helmet is made of hard composite and coloured white and it has what looks to be a leather peak, piped in white leather. On either side it has in black letters "Polizei" the German for police. It is styled similar to the British ';Corker' motorcycle helmet. It has a black leather neck and ear piece with black leather chin strap which is adjustable with a brass buckle. To the front is a metal helmet badge which depicts a castle with three towers. Inside it has the makers label "Original Romer Helm" and a brown leather 10 tongue liner.
