WW2 1944 British WD RAF Lightweight Tropical Bush Shirt / Jacket By Ballymena Mfg Co With Cloth Formation Insignia , 1942 Trousers By Blond Brothers, 1945 Belt By Johnston Allen Co & 1942 Air Ministry Marked Side Cap By Silberston & Sons Ltd With RAF Ba - 15703:48 This is an original WW2 British RAF lightweight tropical bush jacket, trousers & side cap. The light cotton jacket has chest and hip patch pockets with flaps and buttons. The jacket has its original RAF Kings crown buttons (the top collar button is plain). The epaulettes and shoulders have cloth formation insignia. The inside of the jacket has an excellent clean WD size and manufacturer label together with 1944 date (illustrated). The tropical trousers have open top hip pockets and press stud fly. The rear of the trousers has a clean WD size and manufacturer label together with 1942 date. The inside of the trousers has a crisp AM air ministry ink stamp (all illustrated). The belt has a clean WD size and manufacturer label together with 1945 date (illustrated. )The air force blue serge side cap is WD ink stamped together with 1942 date, 7 3/8 size & manufacturer’s name (all illustrated). The cap has its original brass RAF cap badge and buttons. The cap also has a contemporary hand written name ‘J.A. Anderson’ no doubt the name of the RAF soldier or pilot who was issued with the cap. Original WW1 1914 Pattern Imperial German Military Officer’s 2 Piece Bayern State Gilded Brass Buckle and Period Brocade Belt. Sn 15703:33 - 15703:33 Imperial German States issued their own buckles bearing State insignia. These buckles were in general brass or alloy with insignia plates attached by folding tabs. This is an excellent original Officer's 2 piece 1914 pattern brass Bayern State 2 Piece gilded brass Buckle and belt. The front of the buckle is mounted with the Bayern State ‘Crown’ badge secured by the correct 3 folding prongs. There are no manufacturer or date marks on the buckle or belt. The original period leather and blue felt backed brocade belt is 2” wide, 39 ½” in length and holed for size adjustment. Victorian Scottish Fusilier’s Horse Hair Sporran With Brown Leather Cantle & Pouch, Belt Hanger & Regiment Badge. Sn 14404 - 14404 This is an original Victorian era Scottish Military Sporran. The horse hair sporran has brass top mount. It has its brown leather cantle with flap covered pocket and brass stud button. The cantle has unreadable contemporary hand writing and an indistinct embossed stamp. The cantle also has 2 small belt loops. The Sporran is fitted with original chain and leather belt, waist hanger with buckle. The front of the Sporran has an original Scottish Fusilier’s Regiment, brass ignited grenade badge. Pre WW1 1902-1910 Royal Warwickshire Regiment Volunteer Battalion 2nd Lieutenant’s Red Dress Tunic . Sn 12950 - 12950 This is an original, 1902-1910 Royal Warwickshire Regiment Volunteers 2nd Lieutenant’s Red Dress Tunic. The vivid red Tunic has silvered collar dogs with separate gold grown. The Epaulettes carry a single pip for the rank of 2nd Lieutenant & the buttons with Kings crown are all present. They are in white metal as oppsed to gilt denoting a Volunteer Battalion. There is no Tailor’s label but the cream lining is in excellent condition as is the blue melton cloth, gold braid collar & cuffs. WW2 / Pre 1953 Worcestershire Imperial Yeomanry Leather Cross Belt & Pouch With King’s Crown Yeomanry Badge. Sn 12769 - 12769 The Queen's Own Worcestershire Hussars was a Yeomanry regiment of the British Army. First raised in 1794, it participated in the Second Boer War and World War I as horsed cavalry before being converted to an anti-tank regiment of the Royal Artillery for service in World War II. In 1956 it was amalgamated with the Warwickshire Yeomanry to form the Queen's Own Warwickshire and Worcestershire Yeomanry. In 1899, they were called for service in the Imperial Yeomanry, for the Boer War and formed part of the newly formed Imperial Yeomanry Cavalry. The Regiment fought in WW1 and on return from Palestine in 1919 it had become clear during the war that cavalry was obsolete and in 1922 it was announced that the Worcestershires were to become a Royal Artillery Regiment. The Regiment fought with distinction in WW2. This is a nice original Pre 1953 Worcestershire Imperial Yeomanry Cross Belt & Pouch. The belt and pouch are leather. The belt is 32" long. The belt has ornate brass plates with void panels. The leather covered steel pouch opens as it should and has a leather tab with single brass stud fastener. The leather covering has some wear consistent with age and service use. The front of the pouch is mounted with the bi metal badge of the Worcestershire Imperial Yeomanry with King’s Crown. Original Victorian English Third Norfolk Rifle Volunteers Corps Officers Crimson Morocco Leather & Silver Lace Dress Sword Belt With 2 Piece Third Norfolk RVC Buckle & Sword Hanging Straps. U 107 - U 107 / 12717 An invasion scare in 1859 led to the creation of the Volunteer Force and huge enthusiasm for joining local Rifle Volunteer Corps (RVCs). This is an original Victorian Norfolk Rifle Volunteers Officer’s Dress Sword belt made of crimson Morocco leather with strips of silver lace & brass fittings. It has a two piece belt buckle with ornate shoulders. Circlet inscribed “Third Norfolk Rifle Volunteers Corps” and central ‘Castle’. It is complete with two crimson Morocco leather sword hanging straps decorated with silver lace. All leather and stitching of the scabbard, hangers and belt are clean and intact. WW2 1941 British Army in India Major’s BD & Front Pocket Trousers. Sn 1492 - 1492 A perfect condition WW2 Battledress Blouse of a British Major in the Army Ordnance Corps in Colonial India made by Freedman & Co, Property Limited, 1941 in Size 4 and an ink WD arrow with A.W. Size 36” chest complete with all buttons etc. Also included are a pair of Front Pocket Officers private purchase battle dress trousers with a good clear matching label showing they are size 8 for waist 32” to 33” and height 5’7” to 5’8”. WW1 1918 British Officer's Uniform Khaki Jacket By Gieves Ltd To 2nd Lieutenant D.E.D Taylor MM, MID, 19th Public School Battalion Royal Fusiliers With WW1 Medal Ribbons. U 105 - U 105 The Royal Fusiliers served with distinction in the First World War,raising 76 Battalions The Regiment served on the Western Front, in Africa, the Middle East and Macedonia. Public Schools Battalions were British First World War Pals Battalions of Kitchener's Army, originally made up exclusively of former public schoolboys. The 19th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers were part of the 33rd Division, which was formed in April, 1915. It was an all-London Division with five public schools Battalions (18th to 21st Royal Fusiliers and 16th Middlesex). 2nd Lieutenant D.E.D Taylor served with the British Army between 1908-1924 and was an Officer with 19th Public School Battalion Royal Fusiliers during WW1. The Officer was awarded the prestigious Military Medal (MM) for valour and was mentioned in despatches (MID). This is 2nd Lieutenant D.E.D Taylor’s Uniform Jacket mounted with his WW1 medal ribbons (a photocopy of part of his medal card records from the National Archives Kew accompanies his jacket). The jacket is single breasted with open collar, pleated chest pockets and plain lower pockets with flaps. The tunic has all of its original brass Kings crown Royal Fusiliers Regimental buttons. The lapels of the jacket have the ignited grenade Regimental badges with correct rear lug and split pins. The epaulettes have the correct embroidered 2nd Lieutenant WW1 rank insignia. The collar of the tunic has a nice manufacturer’s label ‘Gieves Ltd’ with typed date ’12 may 1918’ and the Officers detail ‘Lt DED Taylor 19 PS Batl Royal F (19th Public School Battalion Royal Fusiliers). The Tunic is clean with some areas of light mothing which is stable. It is approx UK size 38" Chest. This WW1 tunic to a named British Officer decorated for valour is worthy of further research. The fifth, 'German Identity Discs of World War Two' book by Michael & Ian Burrows, published in 1995. The sixth, 'A Collectors Guide To The History and Uniforms Of Das Heer, The German Army 1933-45' book by Chris Ellis. All of these books are out of print now and becoming difficult to find.
